This week's ad shows the following General Mills products; prices are after instant savings: Betty Crocker fruit snacks at 99 cents, Nature Valley granola bars and Nut Clusters at $1.49, Cheerios and other cereals at $1.79.
Places to get GM coupons: $1/2 cereals, $.50/1 Nature Valley, $.50/1 Yo-Plus on Coupons.com; Eat Better America, Pillsbury.com, BettyCrocker.com. There was a General Mills insert in the 8/8 Sunday paper. Also, make sure to load all the GM coupons onto your card through Cellfire and Shortcuts, and you just may get some of these products for free or get overage once the instant savings, paper coupons and e-coupons all come off.
And as you remember, Dom's takes expireds.
Deal idea: Buy 1 box Cheerios @ $1.79 each after instant savings, 1 box Fiber One bars @ $1.49, and 2 boxes fruit snacks @ 99 cents.
On Cellfire, load $.55/1 Cheerios e-coupon, 50 cents/1 Fiber One, and 50 cents/2 fruit snacks Q. On Shortcuts, load $.50/2 fruit snacks Q. Print $.55/1 Cheerios from Coupons.com, clip $.50/1 Fiber One bars from the 5/2 SmartSource, and print $.50/2 fruit snacks from Coupons.com.
Altogether, your four boxes should ring up at $5.26. If the $2.05 in e-coupons come off, that's down to $3.21. Subtract the $1.55 in paper coupons and you're down to $1.66, or 42 cents per item! And if you had any previous e-coupons for these products lingering on your card, the price may go down even more.
This is why I only buy General Mills at Dominick's these days!
And! Starting Saturday, there's a Catalina deal on Nature Valley granola bars: buy 4, get $2.50 to spend on your next order. (Buy 5, get $3.50.) So if you want to go back and buy all granola bars, and collect the appropriate coupons from all the same sources I already mentioned, you will surely get them free. I think.
(I had this Catalina alert floating around my purse, and I think there was an alert for the fruit snacks too.)
Even better update: the "buy 4, save $4" takes off $1 per item for four "or more," and the Nut Clusters are included in the Catalina. This means you can buy 5 Nut Clusters for $1.49 each, use five $1/1 coupons (see Coupons.com, Eat Better America, etc.), pay about $2.50 and get a $3.50 Cat back. I'm there!
Thanks to Mashup Mom for that update.
