Sunday Ad Flyers 11/1: P&G Saver, Toys R Us Big Book, Target Gift Card Deals

Yesterday at my CVS they were piling all the Halloween stuff on a clearance cart to fill those aisles with Christmas kitsch. That's right, now that Halloween is behind us, it's on for holiday shopping. While I am irritated by early Christmas displays, I'm all for getting a jump on the holiday shopping. The earlier I start, the better deals I am able to find and the better stuff I am able to get for my loved ones. In fact I have already bought two gifts for my 5-year-old: a new comforter with shams from JC Penney (using that $10 voucher and $10 coupon combo) and three pairs of knee socks from Lands' End (using the $10 coupon).

So in the spirit of holiday shopping, here are the best deals from the Sunday ad flyers, Nov. 1.

Since it's the first weekend of the month, Procter & Gamble has its P&G Brand Saver, which includes a 15% off coupon for Gymboree good through 12/24, and a buy one CoverGirl foundation, get one CoverGirl face product free, which often makes for great drugstore deals.

Target has two pages of gift card offers on technology items, inlcuding $5 gift card when you buy a 2GB Apple iPod Shuffle for $55, $10 GC for old fashioned-looking Crosley stereo @ $89.99; $20 GC for Flip Camcorder @ $149.99;, and more. Other gift card offers: $25 when you buy a Bissell vacuum, @ $149-$199 (and  $20 Bissell mail-in rebate in today's 11/1 SmartSource), and a $5 GC for buying two large paper towel packs, laundry detergents, fancy razors, tissues, or Siffer WetJet starter kit, prices range from $7.99-$18.99. You can get four boxes of Kellogg's cereal FREE if you combine Target and manufacturer's coupons (thanks, Mashup Mom).* And another good deal I noticed: holiday flannel sheet sets are $15 for ALL SIZES. We have a king sized bed and an Amazon search does not turn up any sheet set for a mere $15. Wonder if the fitted sheet is big enough and stretchy enough to stay on our thick king mattress. Finally, there's a coupon for a $10 gift card with a new or transferred prescription, expires 11/16. And there are ongoing Target freebies that can be had using store coupons, like free $1 bakery products.

Kmart also has a $10 gift card coupon for new or transferred prescription. The flyer announced the ChristmasCountdown Deal of the Day, starting Nov. 5. Visit that link or text 75308 to find out the deal of the day.

CVS doesn't have much going; other regions may have gotten a $1/1 coupon for Plackers dental flossers in today's RedPlum, which would make those free after ECBs. But I will of course be checking out the clearanced Halloween items to stock the Halloween bin for next year.

I loved the Walgreens deals in the October, but I don't see any exciting monthly deals in November. Just free Robitussin if you're into that. For the weekly deals, you can get free Campbell's soup or Hunt's tomato sauce by combining coupons, or $1 Mitchum deodorant with the $1/1 in today's 11/1 SmartSource. See all the Wag's deals at Money Saving Mom.

Sports Authority has a coupon for $25 off a purchase of $100 or more, good only through Tuesday. Online code is TSAFCSF.

Michaels has the usual 40% off coupon.

Dominick's, prices good through Sun. Nov. 8: asparagus $1.47/lb. Lots of Super Coupons, which require a $20 purchase: Safeway Mac & Cheese 39 cents limit 4, Lucerne butter $1.49/lb. limit 1, Lucerne cream cheese 8 oz. 99 cents; 10 lbs. russet potatoes $1.99 Safeway peanut butter 18 oz. 99 cents limit 4, Kellogg's cereal 12-18 oz. 2/$3 must buy 2 (stack with $1/1 Corn Flakes coupon from Coupons.com), Special K or Nutri-Grain bars 4/$6, Keebler Town House or Club crackers $1.99 limit 3 (stack with $1/2 from today's 11/1 RedPlum).

Jewel has two pages of store coupons good through 11/7, including $5 off 51 oz. Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which you can stack with the $1/1 from the 9/13 SmartSource.

Toys R Us has its Big Book of holiday toys out today. On the back cover is a coupon for a $10 gift card when you spend $75 or more (excludes tons of stuff like diapers). There are also lots of offers in there like a free Cars backpack if you spend $25 on Cars merchandise, free helmet with certain bikes, free Hello Kitty comsetic set with Hello Kitty purchase of $30 or more, etc etc. They have one of these offers for practically every brand of licensed merchandise.

The TickleMe plant may sound weird, but it's totally true. They have a couple at the Brookfield Zoo's Hamil Family Play Zoo in the greenhouse. They really close when touched.
