Sunday Ad Flyers 11/8 - Cheap Huggies, Toy Coupons

Today's ads make it clear that all the retailers are trying really hard to get us really excited about holiday shopping asap. But guess what, retailers? I doubt many of us WILL be that excited about holiday shopping this soon, unless it's to take advantage of deep, deep discounts. Speaking of which, I'll be posting soon with my holiday shopping strategy and the "no credit card bill" holiday agreement I made with my husband.

Coupons

SmartSource has more General Mills coupons good for the Catalina deal at Jewel -- $1/1 Yo-Plus and Yoplait Delights, $.25/1 Progresso. RedPlum also has a coupon for the Catalina deal: $.40/1 Pillsbury frosting. But the coupon I'm most excited about today is the $1/1 Nabisco crackers -- perfect for getting some Triscuits at a profit using the Holiday Jingle rebate if another $1 Triscuit sale comes along!

RedPlum also has $1/1 for Kellogg's Crispix, All Bran, Rice Krispies or Corn Flakes, which could likely result in free cereal with the right sale, and a $1/1 Johnson's baby product, which can always get you a free bar of Johnson's Buddies soap where it is priced at 99 cents (CVS, for one).

There's a sheet of Steak N Shake coupons in the Trib as well today, and a 20% off single item coupon for Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Walgreens has a $5/$25 coupon in its flyer, good through Saturday. As usual, you have to hit $25 after manufacturer's and Walgreens coupons, although some people have told me they've had luck simply handing the cashier the $5 coupon BEFORE any of the manufacturer's coupons. That would be, well, cheating though, so I'll leave it up to you and your spiritual advisor. (Baby Cheapskate points out that although Huggies Jumbos are a run-of-the mill $8.99 at Walgreens this week, using the $2/1 printable coupons and the $5/$25, you can get a decent deal on them. Precisely, you could get 4 Jumbo packs for $23, which is $5.75 a pack and 13 cents per size 1-2 diaper. While not as good as the deal at Target this week (see below), it's still better than Baby Cheapskate's "price to beat" of 17 cents a dipe.)

CVS has moved right on from the Halloween candy deals to the Christmas candy deals, offering $5 ExtraBucks when you spend $15 on candy. And my store said they'll have the Halloween stuff down to 75% off today, so I'll be peeking in to see if there's anything left. For more CVS deals, including a whole bunch of shampoo and styling products for free, see Money Saving Mom.

For the rest of the Wags deals, including a scenario where you can stock up on Benadryl and Tylenol cold medicines for nearly free, see Money Saving Mom.

Ritz Camera says they have 6-cent digital prints every Tuesday and Wednesday. That's pretty good considering that most drugstores charge around 29 cents per print.

World Market wants you to know that they have started a rewards program called World Market Explorer.

Kohl's is having a sale. I know, can you believe it? A number of brands are buy one, get one free for clothes -- Mudd, Urban Pipeline, Croft & Barrow and more. Up to $80, so you could get a pretty good deal on two $80 items.

In addition to the usual 40% off one item coupons, both Michaels and Jo-Ann have extra coupons: 50% off one regular price item for Michaels, and 10% off total purchase at Jo-Ann.

Target has a great gift card offer for Huggies diapers: buy two boxes of Snug & Dry diapers @ $29.99 each, get a $10 GC. The diaper count ranges from 192 to 92. Use two $2/1 printable manufacturer's coupons (or $3/1 for Huggies Natural if you don't mind playing fast and loose with your coupons), and your cost after coupons and gift card is $23 per pack. $23 for 192 size 1-2 diapers is 12 cents per poop, waaay below the "price to beat" of 17 cents listed on Baby Cheapskates chart. They recently had $1.50/1 printable Target coupons for Huggies as well, but I don't see them anymore. However, if you get mailers from Target, check those for coupons that would sweeten this deal even more.

Target also has its holiday toy book out, including lots of coupons -- good ones include $10 off a Leapfrog Tag Reading System and a lot of $20 off coupons.

By the way, Baby Cheapskate has more great diaper deals listed here. I love that site!

Sports Authority has a 15% off coupon for active or retired military personnel only, good through Wednesday. But there's another $25/$100 coupon good for all of us, all week, and the online code is TSAAGAL.

Sears is offering a $10 Sears Rewards card for every $50 spent on apparel. HOWEVER, Sears didn't pay us the $50 we were supposed to get when we tried the men's clothing rebate around Father's Day. They emailed us and claimed we didn't meet the requirements, even though we carefully read and complied with all the instructions AND the cashier checked it all for us. So I wouldn't be to hep to participate in another Sears rebate offer anytime soon.

JCPenney has 3 coupons: $20 off when you spend $100, $15/$75 or $10/$50. Good online or in-store or on the catalog, through Monday Nov. 9 only.

Office Depot has a coupn for $25 a personalized holiday card or calendar purchase of $100 or more.

Toys R Us has a coupon for a $10 gift card with any $75 purchase, excluding, as usual, diapers and formula. Also a $10 gc offer if you spend $25 on Hasbro games, and there's a $2 mail-in rebate offer for Milton Bradley games. And lots of other gift card offers and sales. Basically, Toys R Us really, really wants you to start Christmas shopping, stat.

If you have to make one of those dreaded toner purchases, OfficeMax will take the edge off by giving you a $25 iTunes gift card when you spend $100 on HP ink. Yeah, stocking stuffer.
