Cyber Monday Deals: Start on Sunday

When I was in Boston Store (Carson's) this Friday, an announcement came over the public address system: "We have just been authorized to extend our Black Friday Doorbusters until 2 p.m.!" When I got home, Toys R Us had sent me an email with the "exciting news" that their doorbusters had been extended until 10 p.m.

I think most of you have caught on by now that there is no such thing as Black Friday, Cyber Monday or any other delineated bargain shopping day. This year has more deals everywhere you look than any other year in the past, and they have been coming fast and furious all weekend. Sure, there might be a few more special, deep discounts on Friday and Monday, but some online retailers (like Amazon) went ahead and called it Black Friday week and have been dishing out crazy discounts all week.

So Cyber Monday is tomorrow, but here are the "Cyber Monday Early" deals already available online today:

  • Kodak Gallery Holiday SuperSavers through 12/1. That link has coupon codes to get you half price on a photo book, photo note cards or a photo mouse pad.
  • Amazon's Cyber Monday deals include a Kodak EasyShare camera for $99.99, normally $179.
  • Get free shipping at Macy's with a $75 purchase with the code CYBER. And their "Web Busters" seem to be already active, including a Bears cheerleader set for little girls including pompons and the outfit for $11.99.
  • Use the code HOLIDAY2 to take $15 off a $100 purchase at Toysrus.com. (Saw that one on Thirfty Northwest Mom, who has some other early Cyber Monday deals up on her site as well.)
  • Even that grinch Ticketmaster is having a sale. Through Monday night, get buy-one-get-one-free Bulls tickets, half-price Disney on Ice and more.
  • Leapfrog.com is calling it its Black Friday sale, but whatever the name, it's going on until the end of the day tomorrow. Their stuff is marked down 25% to 75%, shipping is free on orders of $50 and more, and if you spend $100, they'll lop off $10.
  • JC Penney's just calling it a Cyber Sale. Use the code JOY2UNME through the end of Nov. 30 to get free shipping on orders $25 or more. (Yes, that includes outlet items.)

That's what I know for now. Please share other early Cyber Monday deals you know about in the comments, and I'll try to log on extra early tomorrow to let you know about the retailers who were actually able to wait for the big day to spill their beans, blow their ... you know, publicize their discounts.
