What's on Sale at Jewel-Osco This Week -- 10/1-10/7

Here are the grocery sales and coupon match-ups for Jewel-Osco for the week of Oct. 1:

Jewel has some more manufacturer's products for Kraft products in the flyer this week, and once again at least one of them will be very useful if you pick it up at Jewel and bring it over to Dominick's. It's a $2/2 Q for Kraft Singles, which are on sale at Dominick's for $1.49.

Unfortunately, my husband doesn't want me to buy those things because he said processed cheese is made from the rotten sludge at the bottom of barrels in the cheese factory. Maybe so, but don't you love how very bendy those Kraft singles are? It's like childhood in a wonderfully uniform little postcard of cheese.

Speaking of coupons, there's also one for a free 9-11 oz. bag of Fritos (up to $2) when you buy a pack of Ball Park beef franks and a can of Hormel No Bean Chili @ $2. (you could probably combine that with the $1/2 Ball Park Q from the 9/30 SmartSource)

On Sale at Jewel Through Saturday Only:

raspberries $1.50 for 6 oz.

Sunshine Cheez-It or Town House crackers 7-16 oz. $1.88

Lay's potato chips 10.5-11 oz. $1.88

Propel vitamin water 47 cents (this would be free if you have any of the $.55/1 or $1/2 tearpad or hangtag coupons out there)

Little Debbie chocolate cupcakes $2 (use $1/1 from 9/27 SmartSource)

Buy one, get one: Stockman and Dakota roast, steak or Jewel boneless skinless chicken breasts (with in-store coupon); Fresh Express salad blends @ $2.99, Affy Tapple 3-pack @ $3.49, 16 oz. Jennie-O lean ground turkey @ $5.49, Dean's ice cream 1.5 quart, Edwards single serve pie @ $4.29, Foster Farms corn dogs 29-72 oz. @ $8.49, New England coffee 9-12 oz. @ $6.99 (use two $1/1 printables to get two bags for just $4.99)

There is also one Catalina deal: spend $20, get a $5 coupon for your next order, 10/1-10/7. Products include Dunkin Donust coffee @ $6.49, Folgers 27.8-34.5 oz. $5.97, Millstone coffee @ $6.99, Pillsbury cake mix @ $1, brownie mix @ $1, frosting @ $1.50 (use $1/2 from 9/27 RedPlum), Brownie Minis mix @ $2 ($.40/1 from 9/27 RedPlum), Eagle sweetened condensed milk @ $2, Smucker's preserves, jam or jelly 18 oz. @ $2.50 (use $.55/2 or $.25/1 or $1/2 from 9/13 RedPlum), Smuckers Uncrustables 4-pack $2.50, Crisco oil 48 oz. $3.79, Crisco baking spray $2.50.

I don't know for sure, but I'll assume that the $20 purchase is calculated by pre-card prices, as usual. I'm not too excited about this deal since I prefer "spend $30, get $15" or at least "get $10." Then again, I am always needing to buy jam so maybe this is a chance to stock up on that.

5 jars of jam would be $19.75 pre-card, add one cake mix as a filler and you'd pay $13.50 and get $5 back for a total expenditure of $8.50. If you have coupons even better.
