Kmart Super Doubles Next Week -- But Maybe Not Chicago Area?

user-pic

All the money-saving sites have been saying that Kmart is doing Super Double coupons again next week. So I called and emailed Kmart customer service as well as my local store to investigate.

That's right -- here at Frugalista we wear out the shoe leather to get the real poop for you.

Customer service confirmed that Super Doubles are coming in some areas next week, but they wouldn't say which -- they said to check with my local store. But my local store manager didn't know anything about it, and he said that the ad for the coming week doesn't mention it.

Usually, if Kmart is doing doubles in your region, it WILL show in your local ad. So I'm thinking that the Chicago area may be left out this time.

If anyone hears otherwise from their local stores, please do let us know.

Oh how sad if we're excluded!!! I hope it's just another case of Kmart employees being completely clueless!

Do we know why the Chicago area supermarkets do not double/triple coupons? I live near downtown where grocery prices are absurd, and I have never seen Dominicks or Jewel offer any type of incentive to double or triple coupons. Coming from the south where Kroger triples coupons quite often, it's a bit disheartening.
