Free Redbox Videos

Since it looks like the Fourth of July fireworks may be rained out, my thoughts are turning to a video at home. But I wouldn't want to PAY to watch a video, oh no. That would not be the Frugalista's style.

Which leaves me with two options: 1) Check out what's available streaming with my cheapie Netflix account and 2) walk over to Jewel and pick up a free movie from the RedBox machine.

Really? Free? Yep, as long as you return it the next day, you can usually pretty easily get a code to punch into the RedBox machine and check out a movie for free. This Wise Bread article lists the main sites where you can find the codes, as well instructions on getting weekly codes emailed or texted to you directly from RedBox.

You'll find RedBox movie dispensers at a lot of Jewels and Walgreen's in the Chicago area. And speaking of Walgreen's, I believe that they sometimes give out codes on the end of receipts there too -- maybe only at locations that have machines?
