There are a lot of good deals at CVS this week, but today I discovered an unadvertised way to make money on one of them:
The official deal is, "Spend $10 on Johnson's products or Band-Aids, get $5 ExtraBucks." The marked products start at around $3.19 at my store, meaning that you could buy three or four of those, use a few coupons, and maybe spend $8 to get the $5 ExtraBucks.
But today I discovered that the trial size Johnson's first aid kits, which were not marked for the deal, also work. These are 99 cents, and there are $1/1 coupons in the 5/17 RedPlum insert. But if you have 10 of those coupons, you can get 10 little first aid kits for free and get the $5 ECBs as a bonus.
Doing little deals like this when they come up, I am able to keep a stock of CVS ExtraBucks in my wallet to buy milk and to roll into other deals.
