One of the nice things the Frugalista does for you is read those Wednesday grocery flyers for the biggest local chains, Jewel and Dominick's, so you don't have to waste money subscribing to the paper. (I'm KIDDING! Getting the newspaper at home is one of the things I actually DO shell out for month after month, because, oh, I don't know, I believe in democracy and an informed electorate. And it's easier for me to chase my kids around with a folded newspaper in my hand than it is with my laptop.)
(And yes, the folded newspaper makes a MUCH BETTER disciplinary tool than the laptop. The laptop is fragile!)
A couple notes about my round-ups: I don't list every product, only the ones I think are actual good deals. I'm biased toward organic and whole-grain products, and I consult the Environmental Working Group's list to determine what is important to buy organic and what can get a pass. I use the coupon database at Hot Coupon World to find coupon matches for you, and I put the very hottest deals I see in red text.
Finally, if you see a word that confuses you, like bogo, or the sources of the coupons, checkout my beginner's primer for new coupon/bargain shoppers.
And here we go!
I don't think I'll be using my third $5/$50 at Jewel this week. The deals just aren't good enough and after two weeks of making Jewel my main shopping trip, we are out of most organic produce and such, so we must to TJs. But there are a few things:
THURS-SAT ONLY
Dole bananas 33 cents a pound, limit 10 pounds (definite stock-up price. If/when they get brown, do like grandma always did and throw in your freezer for banana bread)
Michelina's dinners 79 cents

There were some Ken's salad dressing $1 off coupons circulating recently. I combined that with Jewel's sale on Ken's($1.67) to get a bottle at more than 75% off.
