Bea Celebrates Her Many Sides

Music + whiskey + tattoos= me

Fresh Ink reader, Bea, isn't from Chicago but she's got a lot of impressive tattoos and is a drummer (I can't say no to drummers). She resides in Jacksonville, Florida and if you're lucky enough to live there and are going to the Blues Fest this year, you can see her performing with her band Willie Randolph.

Originally, she had sent me a picture of her Frog Prince tattoo:

She said that there isn't much of a story behind this tat but that she's always wanted a frog and the Prince Charming thing is more of a nod to how she treats her significant others. Cute. It was done by David Cavalcante at Inksmith and Rogers Tattoo.

When I checked out her myspace page I came across a bunch of other tats, one of which blew me away:

This portrait of Louie Armstrong is one of the best I've seen so far. Seriously cool shit with great attention to detail in the shading.

The day Bea got in touch with me, she was going to get another tat - a cassette tape (which you know I love because I got one about nine months ago). Hers says "Tapes" - her favorite Alanis Morisette song.

Pretty badass. It seems as though Bea has a big love for the ink so who knows, we may see more from her in the future.

Tapes - Alanis Morissette
