FirstandBigTen.com has your football fix covered once again this Saturday, as FBT writers will be on location in two different press boxes for another "Twice as Nice" event.

The action kicks off from Champaign at noon Eastern time, as Tim Cary will be reporting from Memorial Stadium on the Homecoming clash between the Illini and the visiting Michigan State Spartans.

Later in the afternoon, our focus shifts to Columbus for the showdown between Ohio State and Wisconsin.  Kristofer Green will be in the Horseshoe to break down all the action.

(And as always, check our Twitter account at @FirstandBigTen for scores from around the conference and the very latest updates on everything Big Ten football.)

Here's the stories that have caught our attention around Big Ten country:

Valentin making plenty of big plays for both teams.  Purdue's Aaron Valentin has made plenty of things happen this year from his wide receiver/punt returner spot.  Unfortunately for Boilermakers fans, as Cliff Brunt of the Associated Press writes, they haven't always been good things.  Remember when you were a kid and one player would volunteer to be "all-time offense"?  Yeah, they don't have those in Big Ten football, which is unfortunate for Valentin, who has shown a propensity for giving the ball to the opponents.
CFB: Purdue vs Northwestern OCT 18

Buckeyes battling flu.  Several Ohio State players are struggling with the flu heading into Saturday's home game against Wisconsin, and Bucky's 5th Quarter wonders out loud if (similar to the September outbreak in Madison) there are more Buckeyes sick than Tressel and company want to let on.

Christensen making return trip to Happy Valley.  PublicOpinionOnline.com explains exactly what former Iowa quarterback Jake Christensen had to do to resurrect his football career at Eastern Illinois.

Dantonio needs a win.  Mostly because the baseball outcome this week surely broke the Spartan coach's heart, as evidenced by his apparel in Tuesday's presser.

Speaking of the Spartans...  MLive.com tells exactly how MSU's B.J. Cunningham transitioned from soccer to his current sport.

Angerer injures thumb, cracks jokes.  Iowa linebacker Pat Angerer tore a ligament in his thumb Saturday against Arkansas State.  Not sure if this video is more interesting because of the cast or Angerer's straight-faced comment about Tate Forcier: "I don't even know who Tate Forcier is!" (The Iowa star was obviously joking.)

Brotherly love in Bloomington.  Hoosiers Tyler and Adam Replogle have been playing football together for quite a while: now, as the Indiana Daily Student reports, the Ohio natives and brothers are playing together on the biggest stage yet, as starters on a Big Ten football team.
