If you're one of those people who makes a lot of long distance calls from home, you should look into switching your carrier to Pioneer Telephone.

According to Illinois' Citizen's Utility Board (CUB), Pioneer is one of the best offers on the market, AND the agency negotiated a $20 credit for the utility company's Rate Buster plan.  However that credit is being reduced to $10 on April 1, so you need to act fast if you're interested in making a change.

Pioneer offers a 2-3 cents per-minute rate for most Illinois consumers and little or no monthly fee.  The $20 credit represents more than 11 hours of calls, which for many people can cover several months, or even a year of long-distance services, CUB says.

How do you get the credit?  Read on..

To sign up with Pioneer, call 1-877-492-6878.  You can also click here and fill out the form online.

Unless you have "slamming protection," you don't have to call your local and/or long-distance phone provider to switch to Pioneer.  Just call Pioneer and it will make the switch for you.

For more information, or if you have any questions, call CUB at 1-866-688-4282 or visit their Pioneer webpage.
