The Latest on Tiger Woods

PGA superstar Tiger Woods was injured in a 1 car crash this morning as he was leaving his home in Windemere, FL. The crash occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. EST and involved Woods' 2009 Cadillac Escalade striking both a fire hydrant and a tree.

The latest report says that Woods was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated for facial lacerations and later released. As to why he was initially listed in serious condition Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) spokesman Jorge Delahoz said patients' conditions are always classified as "serious" if they are transported to a hospital.

This comes on the heels of a report on Deadspin.com that was posted yesterday that says that the National Enquirer has been following Woods and claims he is having an affair with a 34 year old woman named Rachel Uchitel. There has been no comment from Tiger yet but you have to believe that something will be released because of the intense media scrutiny that is well underway.
