One Game, Three Outcomes

If they win...
Maybe the Chicago Bears can't rescue the 2009 season from the perils of a wasted winter on Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.  Maybe they can't put the bloom back on the quarterback's rose or elevate the coach from his first visit to the warmest of warm seats.  Maybe they can't make us all forget about Cincinnati and Arizona.  But they do have an opportunity - believe it or not - to make next week matter.  When you're a game under .500 after nine games, that's all an organization ask for.  If the Bears win Sunday night, Minnesota matters.  And right now next week mattering is like the Super Bowl.

If they lose a close one...
And close does not refer to score.  If the Bears lose a hard-fought, penalty and turnover-free battle against a better team, so be it.  We wake up Monday morning, piss out the previous night's booze/sorrow, and start discussing where we need to improve to compete with the Vikings and Packers in 2009.  The problem is that the Bears haven't lost one of those games this season.  They've either been blown out or blew a victory with costly errors.  But if, by some chance, they lose a tough one...we'll cope.

If they lose big...
We kill the beast.  We don dark robes, light torches and call for the head of of the absent-faced wet blanket that tells Jamar Williams which gap he should be in (which he'll subsequently avoid like a Chelsea gigolo at the free clinic).  Mike Shanahan is the guy for this job and if the Bears lay another egg in front of a national audience, fans and media should unite to call for his services.  We should ask the organization to deliver what we deserve.  How?  I'm not sure yet.  But I promise you all this.  If the Bears are blown out Sunday night, this site will be a much different experience Monday morning.

If they tie...

Oh wait, Donovan McNabb knows the overtime rules now, dang! Great post though, and I agree with everything you're saying here.

At this point, after some very depressing losses (and for that matter, even some depressing wins - see Browns, Cleveland), having the chance to make the next game matter is really all we can hope for.

At the same time, if they do lose, and it's a close, hard-fought battle, and we can truly come away feeling like the other team WON the game instead of being given the game (though realistically, how often does THAT happen?!) then that would be a lot better and easier to stomach than another break down by the team as a whole.

Here's to hoping I don't wake up Monday with the same sick feeling as I've had the "morning after" some of the more recent games. Somebody needs to start selling "morning after" pills for Monday morning after we've been F*$(#ed by our team :(

You know what? If the Bears "lose big" this week like they have been doing recently, I don't think I'll have that same sick feeling again. I think I'll finally accept that this year is done, and look forward to lots of changes.

Whereas if they lose a "close one" I'll be suckered into thinking they can still turn this train around...but it will hurt bad knowing they're 2 games under .500.

Of course the win would be fantastic, let's just hope for that.

Lets see here, the powerhouse Eagles have beaten the Panthers,Chiefs,Bucs,Redskins, and the Giants. One win over a decent team and we are looking to keep it close,Fuck that. These assholes are beatable, even by our beloved Bears.

Getting our ass kicked by the Bengals, well they have kicked the Steelers asses twice. Who would of predicted that in September?

This is as a winnable game as any other this year. No Westbrook,60 passes from McNabb? Why cant we win this game? Just sayin....

According to Peter King, "To quote the Soldier Field crowd when Jay Cutler jogs out of the tunnel Sunday night: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.''"

Now, I have been troubled by some of the things I've seen from Jay. Some of the picks he has thrown are simply not made by an elite NFL quarterback. That said, I see the talent there and I'm still excited at the prospect of him developing into an elite NFL QB.

I don't think he will get booed coming out of the tunnel. Most Bear fans seem to understand that the offense is a mess for a variety of reasons. I just think some NFL analysts want to see Cutler fail because they see him as a crybaby who forced a trade. Oh well. I think this is just a narrative we will have to get used to. I only wish the Eli Manning's of the world got the same treatment for committing a similiar if not worse 'football crime.'

(since it's short, i'll post it verbatim)

"LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid thinks he sees a future head coach in Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub. The two men worked together from 2001-03, when Toub served as the Eagles assistant special teams/assistant defensive line coach.

[+] EnlargeAP Photo/M. Spencer Green
Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub is head-coaching material, according to Eagles coach Andy Reid."On your staff, the coach that's best prepared to be a head coach is your special teams coach," Reid said. "They have to deal with everybody on the roster, plus you guys (the media). That's a tough thing to do. Dave Toub would be a great head coach down the road."

Toub, who came to Chicago in 2004, has been easily the most consistent and successful assistant coach under Lovie Smith. Baltimore coach John Harbaugh already paved the way for a special teams coach to grab the top job, so why shouldn't Toub at least be afforded the opportunity to interview for open spots in the near future?"

hmmmm...thoughts?

"John Harbaugh already paved the way for a special teams coach to grab the top job..."

No, FDQ , I believe that way was paved years ago by none other than DA COACH, Mike Ditka. Was he notDallas' ST Coach prior to taking the Bears' job?

I KNOW, for sure he was their ST coach because he once called an on-side kick WITHOUT informing Tom Landry. Landry promptly told him if he ever pulled a stunt like that again he would be be fired. I don't think Ditka ever held another cocahing position beyond that with the Cowbums before he told Mr. Halas he wanted the Bears' job.,

Urlacher FTW said:

Hire Toub as the Head Coach for 2 seasons, demote Lovie to DC for that time (you already owe him 11 mill anyway), fire Ron Turner, the O-line coach, and the QB coach and bring in a new O staff this year. If that doesn't start to work you know in 2 years you need to clean house from the top down coaching-wise.

Viva said:

I said two years ago on this blog that Turner should be fired, and Taub, because of his crativity and game planning should be given a shot at the OC job. He continuously has his teams more prepared than his oppenents. Rarely do we loose (not never) special teams battles (and he clearly can evaluate his talent)...

As for the HC position that will be vacant at the end of the year -I want Jim Harbaugh (I wanted him before he beat the shit out of USC, and I still want him).

Noone can predict Bears games, because noone can know which team will show up. We can beat Philly. Jay Cutler can dominate. Jay Cutler is a franchise QB. He needs to lead, plain and simple.

A mark of a great leader is one who surrounds himself with great adviser's and help to delegate the power to the soldier's. Boy's and Girl's LOVIE AIN"T THAT! Shit I am sure he has a GPS in the car just so he can find his f!@!@!$ING office.

Dark Helmet: And his cousin?
Colonel Sandurz: He's an asshole too sir. Gunner's mate First Class Philip Asshole!
Dark Helmet: How many assholes do we have on this ship, anyway?
[Entire bridge crew stands up and raises a hand]
Entire Bridge Crew: Yo!

Whoa Nelly! CanadaBear, great find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That article is a fucking BOMBSHELL. It's written by Brad Palmer, Channel 7's Sports Reporter. Everyone in Chicago respects Palmer, he's got Hub Arkish like credentials. He knows Bears football, and we was around during the glory years.

He knows that Mike McCaskey is the little rich prick with the sweater tied around his waist. He knows that prick likes to talk down to pretty much everyone except mommy.

And he knows the glory years were build by Jim Finks. And Finks left because little Mikey is a dick.

Then, at the end, Palmer drops this bombshell:

"So long as the McCaskeys own the team, don't expect any significant changes. Jim Finks didn't want to work for Michael, and I doubt any other high-profile general managers or coaches will either. Don't think league insiders aren't savy about the goings on in Chicago. The only meaningful change would be for the McCaskeys to sell. And that's something the family has been considering, not that they'll ever admit it."

Yowza. Please please please please be true. Mayor Daley worked with Ted Phillips to get the Bears a new stadium. Daley REFUSED to be in the same room with McCaskey, lest he walk over and give him a mob style beatdown. I'm not kidding, Daley is the kind of guy who will punch somebody.

Phillips job is over, the stadium deal is done. Now, it's back to mediocrity. Lovie is a yes man. Nick Saban wanted Tuna like power. Angelo makes Crumbs Krause look like a stand-up guy. Lovie is a good little corporate shill. Says the right things. Doesn't rock the boat. Mikey doesn't worry he will say anything. Ditka would be telling the reporters how his GM is a dick by now. Lovie likes getting paid.

Now, the Bears don't want to face the hard questions from Costas or anybody else. They run and hide. We don't need the press, they say.

The Bears think of you, the fan, like Ike Turner thought about Tina. Beat the bitch down, she'll come crawling back. Or, maybe to update that a bit, like Chris Brown thinks of Rhianna.

Yes, you out there - you are a bruised skank. Always forking up the cash for the tickets and the gear, and you'll like it no matter how you get it. McCaskey is like the old man in the Simpsons, rubbing his hands together as the stadium fills and saying "excellent".

Turn up the heat. Use this blog and every other media outlet and start stomping on this organization at the top. Boycott the game (and yes, if you watch it on DirectTv or Dish, they are adding those numbers up) and let attendance start to suffer. Then maybe Virginia will get a visit from Ghost George this Christmas, as the Ghost of Bears Christmases Past. Pointo the graveyard of 7-9 seasons....

Neither Shanny or Holmgren distinguished themselves when they had total control. They both need personnel men. Shanny couldn't get it done without Horseface and Holmgren's record in Seattle was nothing to shout about.

I think Angelo is more the culprit in our problems. Don't get me wrong, if Lovie, Turner and Babich get fired I won't be shedding any tears, but our roster is short on talent. Out of 22 starters, only Briggs is at the Pro Bowl level. Gould is close and that's it.

I don't think it is a problem with talent though. I think it is a problem with coaching. Cutler, Forte, Olsen are all very talented and under the right circumstances could be pro bowlers. On D, Tillman and Brown are good enough to be pro bowlers. I think it is the coaching that has our players hands tied behind their backs.

Is that Hester? I think he’s triple-covered. You know what? Fuck it. I’m throwing it downfield.
Yeah, I see Forte open on the flank. But fuck that. Dumpoff passes are for faggots. I’m fucking Jay “Best Arm in the NFL” Cutler. I can get that ball in there. And, even if I can’t, I bet I’ll be able to pull it off the next go round. I like throwing the ball long. It makes my dick hard.

What’s that? I should throw a quick slant? Fuck that. That’s gay. Button hook? Gay. Flare out? Gay. Screen pass? Kevin Spacey gay. This is fucking football. You can’t just expect wins to come to you. You can’t massage that shit. You gotta grab that game by the throat and rape the ever-loving shit out of it. You think a 5-yard out is gonna win you a game? You’re a pussy. This ain’t John Shoop running this offense. JC’s got the arm. The dragon. You gotta unleash the dragon.

Okay, I’m throwing it. Nice. Look how far it went. I look good. I bet I made that 49ers cheerleader wet her panties with that throw. She fucking wants me. I bet she likes it over a stair railing. I can hit that with 100% accuracy, my dear. Mmmmmm. I am delicious.
Oh shit. Looks like the safety caught it. Again. Oh well. It still felt fucking great to throw that shit. Tell me that wasn’t one of the prettiest passes you ever saw. You know what? Not only am I gonna throw it long the next time we hit the field. I’m gonna throw it even longer. Harder. You see that kid in wheelchair sitting in the end zone bleachers? I’m gonna nail him right between the fucking eyes with a JC fastball. Why? Because I can.
This is Jay fucking Cutler we’re talking about here. We’re talking 230 lbs. of twisted steel and sex appeal. I’m not just a gunslinger. I’m a cumslinger. Throwing that ball long tells all the bitches that I am fucking out there. On the edge. Where I gotta be. The ladies love the danger. The unpredictability. Oh, maybe I’ll tease them with a pretty touch pass every now and again. But then I’m gonna go right back to pumping that ball out for all it’s worth. It tells them I throw like I fuck. That’s how we do things in Cutlertown.
Tell me you’re not turned on right now. I am.

That's why I like the guy. Sorry to bring up Jimmy Mac again (no I'm not), but he'd throw the ball straight to the opposition with no receiver in sight. It happens to the greats. I just read Peyton Manning threw 28 picks one season ... and he's still around. Remember the interception machine Vinny Testaverde ? Brett Favre never cared where the hell the ball was going and is a far more deserving of the Da Coach's post. I grew up watching Joe Montana and Dan Marino. Joe was money, he was the man. Marino just dropped back and threw 60 yard rainbows and didn't give a shit where the ball was going. Duper and Clayton were like labrador f**king retrievers for him. "Here, go fetch ... Nyyyoiiinnggg!"

Cutler is only in his third year as a starter, give him a break. If he hits the endzone last week with his last pass, everybody is licking his ass right now and he's the game's MVP. The saviour.

Bearsfan78 - KD and "The Arrow" lined up outside ;o) I'd definitely buy that for a dollar. Olsen inside, Forte on the screens where he runs through the OL first ... lethal.

Time off work has been organised for Monday morning Thai time and I fully expect to witness a victory from my pit. Scores are for whores. Aren't they missing their starting cornerbacks ? They can't cover TEs even with all their starters ? Good. Westbrook is out (he's always out) ? Good. McCoy has problems on blitz pickups allegedly. We just need to give DS Jackson a dead leg as soon as he runs on to the field. Well worth 15 yards. I mean we beat the Eagles whenever we play em - I say the Christmas turkey gets plucked early in Soldier field. Next week is next week. Every week is a playoff game - but we win this one.

Bear the fuck down !!

Canada, Holmgren took Seattle to a Super Bowl and should have won the game. Holmgren out-coached the hell out of Lovie in 2006. Holmgren will change the face of the Bears.

Shanny will cure the offense. That's all that matters.

CanadaBear said:

Can't argue with either one being an upgrade but do you really think the McCheapsky's will eat all those contracts and sign either guy? Please. You know better than that.

Shanny's offense was always top shelf but the D was always bottom shelf (after Elway retired). Yes Holmgren got them to a SB but woulda, coulda, shoulda, means you lost. Take a look at the Seattle roster, not exactly a murderer's row.

I think the job is too big for any one person. You need to keep the HC and GM jobs separate but with total communication.

If you are looking for a list of guys that have out coached Lovie, it's a pretty long list!

Wow, getting interesting in here today gents. Mustache, do you have a side job writing for penthouse?

I did want to go back to the Shannahan vs. Cowher question for a bit. Jeff you seem to be in the Shanny camp along with others, so wanted to present the two coaches ‘side by side’... so check out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Shanahan

and...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Cowher

Under the “Coaching Style” header for Cowher is written:

"Cowher was known for having a fiery disposition, as this was often seen on the sidelines. He expressed himself quite strongly and when yelling often provided a spit shower to anyone in front of him. He had a very tough approach to coaching."

Sound familiar?

Also, "He became the fifteenth head coach in Steelers history when he succeeded Chuck Noll on January 21, 1992 – but only the second head coach since the NFL merger in 1970. Under Cowher, the Steelers showed an immediate improvement from the disappointing 7-9 season the year before, going 11-5 and earning home field advantage in the AFC after the Steelers had missed the playoffs six times out of the previous seven years. In 1995, at age 38, he became the youngest coach to lead his team to a Super Bowl. Cowher is only the second coach in NFL history to lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first six seasons as head coach, joining Pro Football Hall of Fame member Paul Brown."

Wow... not that I'm biased or anything, but I would LOVE to get Cower in here to see what he can do with this team. Besides the Wikipedia info, the things that stand out for me are coaching style, and the fact that Cowher went out on top while shanny got the boot for stagnating. Cowher just seems like a younger, much more aggressive and appropriate coach for bears football. Anyway, read the two pieces and let’s hear what you all think.

I'm hoping Mikey-boy pulls his head out of his ass long enough to do the right thing this year. Start from the top down and let Cowher take his shot at building up this organization. Fuck Lovie, eat the $11M and rid this team of his flaccid (shout out to Mustache here), pathetic persona. My $.02

Gpldan......Your previous post about Jim Finks has a huge error. Finks didnt leave because of Mike McCaskey, he left because George Halas hired Mike Ditka. Jerry Vanisi was the GM during the glory years, but Finks had drafted most of the 85 team. The Bears will spend money, Tommie Harris, Brian Urlacher, Nate Vasher....lot of good money thrown at players who have not earned it. So if Brad Palmer wrote that article your talking about, that old bastard is crazier than I thought and nothing he says can be viewed as credible.

CanadaBear said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

The Bears spend money on players and reluctantly on HC's that have leverage. When they go looking for new HC's and GM's they are always new to their jobs (and get low balled). I think Brad Palmer is correct about Mikey still pulling the strings and any person with a long resume (Holmgren, Shanny, Cowher) would be reluctant to sign up (not to mention the McCheapsky's will not eat all those contracts at the end of the year). Phillips is president for life because he got a sweetheart stadium deal that Mikey was too inept to pull off. Unless the McCheapsky's sell the team or all the stars and planets align correctly, we're doomed.

He misspelled savvy. Also, Wikipedia backs your take up, saying Finks left because Old Man Halas pulled the trigger on Ditka without asking him.

So perhaps we can say that Finks didn't quit because of McCaskey, but he's no fan of McCaskey. Nor are the other NFL owners, where many of them told Pro Football Weekly off-the-record that the Bears are the most mismanaged club in the NFL.

The other really really important point that everyone should take note of here: everybody in the NFL knows the McCaskeys make shitty bosses. Nobody who is Top Tier is going to go to work for a company that has crap management.

So all you out there calling for Cower? Forget it. No way does Bill Cower come to Chicago as long as nancy boy Mike McCaskey runs this assclown organization.

All of this was pointed out by Jimmy Mac in his book. And that was 25 years ago. Not a god damn thing has changed.

LJ can go hang out with the rest of the "character" guys in Cincy, speaking of which...how's that hip treating ya, Ced?

He's a dirtbag that likes to pick fights with women and I'm glad we didn't sign his sorry ass. No stats would've made up for his truckload of issues.

IrishSweetness said:

Here, here. There's enough wife-beaters in the NFL. What's LJ going to do that Forte can't ? There's no run blocking

IrishSweetness said:

Totally Gpldan - everything you want to know about the Bears system is in McMahon's book by Bob Verdi. Old man Halas throwing nickels around like manhole covers etc. I love the exclamation point in the title of the book ...

RobC LJ is not the problem...we have a shitty OLine who beleive blocking is a "two step" and let your partner "dosie do" your RB. If Double Duece cannot find an opening LJ would be in the same boat.

that link i posted might be 2008 numbers. Larry Johnson isnt a 1 man solution, just we didnt even try to sign him. Now Wolfe is out for season. just a random thought.

If you look at the thread of this post ALL on this blog see the problem. It's just as long as *these* owners have this team with *this* management not much sunshine on the horizon for us BEAR FANS. God when did it get so dark being a BEAR FAN... SHIT!....and Jeff I really donot like any of the three outcomes because we should be better than this. Not that you not correct it just SUCKS that these are the three we are stuck with.

Red Zone Turnovers. Red. Zone. Turnovers.

Yes, Arizona and Cinci were humiliating losses and the Bears need to improve, but . . .

Red Zone Turnovers.

I don't give a shit what this organization does now or in the future if they keep giving the ball away inside their opponent's five yard line, it won't matter if Holmgren or Wannie is standing there.

No more RZTOs!

I'll beat that drum until it snaps.

I'd be thrilled with Shanny. In fact I'd be thrilled with anyone but Smith. But my first choice is Holmgren. He has a better, and longer history of developing quarterbacks. And personally I see a lot of similarities with Cutler and Favre. Favre was never better then he was with Holmgren. Steve Young came of age under Holmgren, Brett Favre, Mark Brunell, and Matt Hasselbeck. That's a pretty impressive list over 20 years.
In Shanny's case he had Young after he was established, Elway who was already a HOFer, and then a list of notable failures in Griese, Plummer ect.
Like I said, I'd love either and Shanny's connection to Jay helps his cause, but I'd rather have Holmgern. Besides, can you imagine if on back to back weekends next year the packers lose to Brett Favre and the Vikings, and Mike Homlgren and the Bears?!?!?! Heads would explode!

IrishSweetness said:

Fourteenth McMahon comment today ....

Steve Young said he learned how to play quarterback by sitting on the bench at BYU and watching Jim McMahon play. Holmgren wouldn't have a clue how to play QB the fat fuck ...

Been pretty busy the last few days. Seems I've missed a lot of good smack. I found the article on the McCaskeys particularly enlightening since I live far away from chi-town. I wish I was strong enough to boycott this team, but I am not. Hopefully someday, change will come, and Chicago can rejoin the ranks of the perennial contenders. Until then, I guess we'll just have to hope we can win despite our shitty management. And hope I will.

Hey I think I might get a website with Yournflcoachvodoodoll.com SHIT!! Who's first to buy you can call me ASAP!

And for all the Kellen Davis fans (I like him too, but sheesh...), get ready to see alot of him vs. the Iggles. I imagine that if we actually don't go 3-and-out every series, he'll see alot of PT as we try and take advantage of a Philly linebacking corps that is in a state of flux.

I'd like to add that the national press (including Sports Illustrated) running articles on the cause of death of Drew Brees' mother is incredibly tacky, inappropriate, and another example of the misplaced priorities of modern journalists. How in the world is that relevant information for someone reading the sports page?
Shame on you, SI.

Totally agree. It's really sad that "journalism" has come to this level.

By the way, Holmgren retired. There's that little nugget ... didn't sound like he retire the way Derrick Mason or Favre 'retired'.

"Okay, I'm retiring now everyone ... byeeee"
Everyone : "Huh ? Okay, take care now ..."
"No, I mean it, I'm retiring, okay you guys ... ?"
Everyone : "Uh, yeah cool, see ya ..."
"Seriously, here I go ...look .. I'm gone .. Michael Jackson This Is It man ... I'm Audi ... for real ...hello ?

MB30SD said:

Bell just got brought up to replace Wolfe for this game, and probably the rest of the year. Would be very interesting to see what he's got.

Yes, depending on what happens tomorrow, we should give PoolBoy a shot at some point too, why not.

U guys can get mad at me but Honestly I want the bears to lose big, I want them to lose cause I want Lovie and his crew FIRED. Im willing to sacrifice this year just so i can see Lovie gone!...We cant win with these coaches, these coaches cant coach this team. Im ready to except this season as a loss. I just want Lovie to not have any reason at all to stay as head coach

Shady said:

While I think you should ALWAYS root for the Bears to win, there are probably a lot of people who share your sentiments exactly.

Fresno, I'm with you man. I normally don't think like this but after reading Jeff's post I really think the third outcome is our best long term(possibly short term)solution. Plus I'm very curious how "this site will be a much different experience Monday morning."

MB30SD said:

I never want the Bears to lose ever, but if I was even 85% sure that McDickhead would fire Lovie, Wrong Turner, and JA… I would totally be into it. I just don't trust that he'll eat $11M + whatever JA is worth even if we lose every one of our ’09 games. And even if they do fire lovie and maybe even Turner and Angelo, are we sure they'll bring in the right team (cowher), or even a mildly competent team to get the job done? I'm not even sure they're smart enough to bring in a guy like Jim Harbaugh… if they’re not willing to spring for one of the 'real' coaches that are available.

What I think most of us are afraid of is that we'll all jump on the 'sacrifice this season' bandwagon only to have that asshat McC fire lovie and crew, and then hire an equally inept and unqualified bunch that will be another failed 4-year 'experiment'. Ahhhhhhggggg… can you imagine. Pass the iocane powder please.

Anyway, like Shady says, I think we get the sentiment. No matter what happens with the rest of this season I just pray to Jebus that they do the right thing and get a real coach and staff. I know I’m pulling hard for Cowher because I think he’s the right man for the job in every way, but to be perfectly honest, I would take Shanny or Holmgren… just someone who has a fucking semblance of a clue how to evaluate and acquire the right personnel, who can build a franchise dynasty from the bottom up, and who basically knows how to bring a team together to win for more than one season.

Shady said:

If the Bears WERE to lose big, it would depend on HOW they lost big. If the defense lays down like they did against CIN and ARI, then Lovie should be held accountable. But if the defense shows up and limits the Eagles to 20 or less while Jay Cutler and the offense blows up and fans start booing then I think this just adds the focus and blame on Ron Turner and not Lovie Smith.

Jeff Hughes said:

Fresno, I can't root against them. I tried during the Jauron era and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. One of my alltime favorite Chicago Bears wins was a meaningless win against the Titans in 2004.

They have no excuses! 10 DAYS to prepare for this game.

I will PERSONALLY drive up to Halas Hall on Wednesday and shank Lovie during film study if the following occurs on Sunday...

* If the defense is out of place and confused
* Lovie makes no adjustments on defense
* Can't get D off the field on 3rd and LONG
* Stupid penalties
* Fucking wide receiver screens every 3rd play
* 5 yard passes when you need 10 for a 1st down
* Forte's stats are 25 att. for 46 yards
* Cutler running for his life
* Wr's slipping/running into the zebras
* Another D-lineman picks off Cutler
* Bad snaps by Kruetz
* Shitty tackling
