As I mentioned a few weeks ago, famed Chicago alt-comedy room The Lincoln Lodge has begun its 10th season.* I checked in with producer Mark Geary to find out how the shows were rolling and what makes him so darn prolific.

Q: What do you think is the most important quality of a successful producer?

Integrity - you have to do what you say you are going to do in 100% of the time in order to set the example for everybody else connected with the show.

International comedy star Brendon Burns dropped by for a guest set last Friday.

I look at the artist, not the underwear. The only thing I won't tolerate is sock garters - that sort of attitude belongs back in the 1950s.
