Ex-Cubs and White Sox Update
Raise your hand if you thought Juan Uribe would be totally outplaying Gordon Beckham this year. Raise your hand if you even knew Uribe was still in the league, let alone had a starting job with the Giants. Here is your ex-Cubs and White Sox update...

Tough times for the Sox fan favorite. Rowand is hitting just .227 with an anemic .656 OPS. He's struck out 42 times in just over 200 at-bats.
Pagan was once a solid prospect for the Cubs, but they never really gave him a chance. He's playing every day for the Mets now, hitting over .300 with 4 homers, 35 RBI and 14 steals.
Like Rowand, El Caballo has fallen on hard times. He's hitting for some power (10 HRs) but the perennial .300-hitter is batting just .234 with an on-base percentage of .280.
Another ex-Cub prospect that has gone on to better things. At one point McGeehee was leading the NL in RBI. He has 12 homers, 50 RBI and a walkoff homer against his former club.
Richard has excelled in the spacious Petco Park. He's among the NL leaders for ERA at 2.75 and is 5-4 on the season.
Gio has finally developed into a solid starting pitcher. He's cut down on the walks and is going deeper into games. He's 6-5 with a 3.74 ERA.
The 47-year old wonder is among the NL leaders with 9 wins. He also has 2 complete games and a shutout. Amazing.
Javy is having a rough one for the Yanks. He's pitching better of late but overall he's just 6-6 with an ERA over 5.
Another former Sox enjoying Petco Park, Garland is 8-5 with a 3.13 ERA for the 1st place Padres.
When Joe Nathan went down with an injury, Rauch took over as the Twins closer. He's been excellent. He's 2-1 with a 2.48 ERA and has 17 saves. He's walked just 3 batters all year.
Uribe is on pace for about 25 homers and 100 RBI playing everyday for the Giants. He has 12 homers and 45 RBI right now and is hitting .273.
It must've been the Cubbie curse. Gregg is back to getting people out and closing out games for the Blue Jays. Gregg has 18 saves so far.
Woody has again been battling injuries. His numbers are awful: 1-3 with a 7.47 ERA and just 6 saves.
After a down power year in '09, Mags is crushing the ball again. He already has more homers than he hit in all of last year. He's hitting .319/.394/.504
Thome only has 108 at-bats, but he's doing what he does: hitting some homers and drawing lots of walks. He has 6 homers and is slugging close to .500
Swish is hitting for power and hitting 40 points above his career average at .289. He has 11 homers and 49 RBI.
Milton took an important step in his personal life this year, but he's struggling at the plate, barely hitting above .200
Harden -- no surprise -- just went on the DL for Texas. He's still pitching about 5 innings per start and he's 3-3 with a 5.68 ERA.
Scotty Pods was on fire to start the season, but he's recently came back to earth. He's hitting .292 with 22 stolen bases.
Corey is playing almost every day and batting leadoff for the Orioles. He's hitting .272 with 3 homers and 12 steals and whiffing 3 times as much as he walks.
Aaron Rowand
Tough times for the Sox fan favorite. Rowand is hitting just .227 with an anemic .656 OPS. He's struck out 42 times in just over 200 at-bats.

Pagan, McGeehee, the long career of Jamie Moyer.. Examples of the Cubs having zero eye for actual talent never end. Pshh. (At least Rich Hill isn't on his way to an all-star season.)
