Sean McMorow who was signed but never dressed for the Chicago Wolves during the 2006-07 season, has been accused of bringing 100 kilos of marijuana into the United States from Canada by the United States Attorney for Western New York in a two-count indictment handed down March 2nd. The investigation into the alleged trafficking started in 2005 and involved alleged activity from 2003- 2005 during his tenure with the Rochester Americans.
McMorrow is remembered locally as the enforcer for the Rockford IceHogs during the 2008-09' season. Throughout his American Hockey League career McMorrow was hailed for his work with childrens charities. Currently he is playing in Northern Ireland with the Belfast Giants of the British Elite League.
In Belfast he has become popularly known as "Sherif McMorrow" and has opened an inline skating school since his arrival this fall. He has continued his work with childrens charities in Belfast focusing on nutrition and fitness. He was often noted by the Belfast press. McMorrow has not responded to requests for comment by ChicagoNow's Call of the Wild.
