Nathan Oystrick left a trail of blood on the ice in the Tuesday game between the Chicago Wolves and the Peoria Rivermen, victim to a puck to the face. He did not return to the game. The following was the conversation following the game between reporters and the team's public relations staff.
Q: "What is Nathan Oystrick's condition?"
A:  "Nathan Oystrick isn't in the locker room."
Q: "Did he leave the building in an ambulance?"
A: "No one knows."
Oystrick's condition immediately became a subject for discussion on the Internet with one site claiming he had a shattered jaw. A Nathan Oystrick was confirmed to have been admitted to the emergency room and later released by Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL.
