Here's the lineup for ChicagoNow Radio on News 720 WGN this Saturday, 9am-noon with Alex Quigley and Amy Guth:
9 a.m.
Jason Chin's a longtime improv comedian in Chicago. As such, we can not predict exactly what he'll talk about on our show...because he doesn't know yet, either. We're guessing a funny take on current news stories, but he might just end up pantomiming riding a horse with Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
9:30 a.m.
Adam Tranchida drops by to talk Chi-town sports, particularly the departure of Sweet Lou. Have a box of tissues at hand...it's gonna get all nostalgia-y. Or nostalgic. As you can tell, Amy is not writing this.
10 a.m.
We love us some Elliott Serrano. Our premier geek wraps up the happenings at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con and tells us why Kirk will always be better than Picard. Yes, that's two Picard references.
10:30 a.m.
Mike Burzawa and Ismael Seguban tell us what to expect in the Bears' third and most important preseason tilt against the Arizona Cardinals. Prediction: pain.
11 a.m.
Our special guest will be Leonor Vivanco of the Chicago RedEye. She wrote a great in-depth piece on the rising rate of smartphone theft in Chicago...and how you can protect your phone and personal info from would-be thieves. Solid info you can use. We got your back, people!
11:30 a.m.
More Amy Guth and Alex Quigley than you can shake a stick at. We'll talk current events, crazy stunts and one very cool contest we're kicking off that you could win. A goat will be sacrificed live in our Michigan Avenue studio shortly before noon.
Find the latest on our spiffy Facebook page, too, and by following Amy Guth(@AmyGuth) and Alex Quigley (@AlexQuigley) on Twitter.
