Remember that sweet, soaring flute solo in the 1992 Guns N' Roses heartbreaker "November Rain?" I do. "November Rain" was released at the beginning of my estimable high-school flute-playing career. I watched the wedding-themed video and the subsequent MTV Video Music Awards performance on VHS at least once a day, and I always wished I had the sheet music and my own cover band so I could recreate the song's unmatched raw emotion. Actually, what I really wanted was for Axl to call me and mention he was looking to replace the band's flute player.
The Band Played On: Hairbanger's Ball tonight at Uncle Fatty's

November Rain by Guns N' Roses... Great song! Too bad the band didn't play it last night! The guitarist even plays a few guitars like Slash and could've played those melodic guitar solos well!
