The Fire's season might already be over, but there is still business left to take care of in MLS. The L.A. Galaxy and Real Salt Lake will finish that 'business' tonight, when they meet in the MLS Cup Final (7:30 p.m. on ESPN) for the 2009 league title.
I'll be sharing my thoughts about the game (which will be played at Seattle's Qwest Field) throughout the day/evening so stay tuned for that and feel free to post any observations of your own in the comments section below. Enjoy the game.

They're headed to extra time in Seattle, with the score knotted at 1-1. Pretty wild up in the Pacific Northwest, maybe RSL can pull of their second upset in a row...

It's still 1-1 after the first extra time so they'll head into the final 15 minute period. RSL got the better of LA in the first period of extra time, coming close to scoring on multiple occasions. We'll see what happens in the second frame.

They're going to PK's. I'll give the advantage to Real Salt Lake -- not only because of they're solid performance against the Fire last week -- but also because the fact that L.A. is playing with their backup keeper right now.

Real Salt Lake pulls off the miracle and defeats LA in penalties to win the MLS Cup. Really an unreal finish for Real Salt Lake, who snuck into the playoffs on the last day of the season, defeated the top two teams in MLS in the playoffs and take home their first title in franchise history.
It's disappointment for Los Angeles, who unbelievably saw Landon Donovan miss his penalty kick in the shootout.
