The playoffs opened up last night in front of a raucous 30,000 + fans at Qwest Field in Seattle last night, but the expansion Sounders went home disappointed as they failed to find the back of the net in their 0-0 draw with the Houston Dynamo.
With the tie, Houston now only has to win at home when the series resumes on November 8th to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
Check out the video highlights of the match here.
And click here for a post game piece printed in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that takes a look at the refereeing and the infamous 0-0 tie...
That's all I have for now, but I'll be back soon with a Fire-New England match preview so check back for that.

First half was good and good speed. The ref did make some calls I thought he should and look like it was loud there sometimes you couldn't even hear the whisle.

Houston is notorious for fouling and physical play bordering on dirty but if anyone thinks they're rough wait until Sunday when the Revs try to plow through a game 1 result. Houston also got a break on the Jaqua goal late in the game when the referee blew the play dead at midfield as Ljungberg was bowled over.

The old man should have got a red card for the charging chest bump. And there were a few other calls that should have been yellows with how he was calling the game.
