I'm keeping it safe and jolly for Black Monday therefore I'm thinking like Oprah. If Oprah had food allergies and listed her "favorite things" this year it would probably resemble this one. Whether you are young or old, gluten-free or lactose intolerant, may you find inner digestive peace this holiday season.

Beyond a Peanut has created a line of flash cards and other great products that empower children and educate their caregivers.

Allergy Apparel is keeping the kiddies cool and safe this holiday season. All the tattooed "peanut" moms will be dressing their kids in fab "no nuts" style. Allergy Apparel sells t-shirts, hoodie, onesies and Epi-pen carriers.

Divvies are made by the Sandler family, who envisioned starting a line of products that exist without the most common allergens. Holiday offerings include gift baskets, chocolate trees and snowmen, jelly beans and chocolate bars for Chanukah too.

Boxed sets from the Spice House are the perfect hostess gift. My favorites are the Chicago neighborhood themed sets. Bronzeville Rib Rub or Ukrainian Village Seasoning anyone?

Allergy Haven carries some of the most chic Epi-pen holders on the market. The adorable Russian Bubbies Tote and Strap Pack is now 20% off.

Whole Foods market has a lot of holiday offerings, one of which is an unusual favorite, Pates de Fruits Chewy Fruit Gems. I like to think of them as a more grown-up version of the vending machine classic, Chuckles.

Chicagosoydairy makes Dandies vegan marshmallows which are the perfect accessory for your non-dairy hot chocolate.

Organic, kosher and vegan candies derived from all natural and organic ingredients! Pure Fun's Peppermint Swirls and Candy Canes make excellent stocking stuffers.

How about a subscription to Living Without Magazine: The magazine for people with allergies and food sensitivities. The December/Jan 2010 issue features an outstanding gluten-free flour guide.

Some of the best FA cookbooks: Jules Shepard's Nearly Normal Cooking (gluten-free cooking), Alisa Fleming's Go Dairy Free and ELL's The Party is at the Safe House.

If you have been really really good this year, you could ask Santa for an Excalibur Dehydrator to make all of your own allergy-free "crackers" and "cookies". Later this week I will be posting one of my favorite "bread" recipes using my Excalibur.

Is your iphone lactose intolerant? You can personalize your iphone for your own allergies or for those you love. Purchase an app from glutenfreepassport.com to help take the stress out of holiday eating.
