Hinrich sits out practice; Bulls consider adding a guard

Per KC Johnson:

The short-handed Bulls are even more depleted with guard Kirk Hinrich sitting out Saturday's practice with his sprained left thumb. Coach Vinny Del Negro said Hinrich would visit a specialist on Monday to determine the length of his absence.

Del Negro said the team would consider signing a guard should Hinrich be sidelined for any length of time. Hinrich declined to address reporters,
This is double good news in my opinion.

First, if this injury was going to result in serious playing time loss then we'd likely already know.   If there was a tear or something that required surgery it would have likely been diagnosed already.

Second, the Bulls are considering signing someone if Hinrich is gone for any length of time which means they're willing to bring someone on to the roster if needed.   It will be interesting to see who they'd chase if they added someone.

If Hinrich can play Monday then we'll have the tri-fecta of good news, but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Im pretty sure Mike McGraw already said that the MRI showed it was just a sprain and not torn

If Kirk is out we are in trouble because our slow mgt will take atleast a week to decide what to do if they should add a player than another week to look into who they should add. This would mean alot of losses because of pt going to Hunter and Pargo.
