A Weekend of Wild Wet Hops

Or maybe a wet wild weekend of hops!  I guess it doesn't matter because I'll be in Minneapolis.  Apropos of last week's post on wet hopped ales, some Chicago beer bars will be hosting Wet hopped ale events where you can sample some of the beers I describe without shelling out for the packaged products.
Saturday September 3rd

Fountainhead will have the following available on tap:
Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest
Sierra Nevada Estate
Left Hand Warrior
New Holland Hopivore
Port Brewing High-Tide
Three Floyd's Broo Doo
Two Brothers Heavy Handed Cascade
Two Brothers Heavy Handed Centennial
Two Brothers Heavy Handed Columbus
Half Acre In the Wake of the Flood

Cask Conditioned:
Founders Harvest
Two Brothers Heavy Handed Columbus
Information about tapping times and live music is forthcoming on their website.  There will be some other tasty fall seasonals available as well.

Bar on Buena is hosting a bonus event that will feature a plethora of Oktoberfest beers, plus there will be a free shuttle between Fountainhead and Bar on Buena!  Check it out.

Surly Brewing will release their imperial stout, Darkness in Minneapolis... wait, how did this get in there?

Sunday October 24th

The festivities at Fountainhead and Bar on Buena will continue.

Sheffields will host their own slew of Wet-hopped ales beginning at 1:00 PM.  Here's the list:
Port High Tide Fresh Hop IPA
Harpoon Glacier Wet Hop Harvest Ale
Three Floyd's Broo Doo
Founders Harvest
a very special keg of Half Acre Sticky Fat

Sticky Fat is a strong dark ale made with freshly picked Pacific Northwest hops.  I thought we'd seen the last of this beauty, but apparently there was a little more squirreled away.  This will probably be your last chance to try it.
