FINAL SCORE: Bears 14 Packers 21

Welcome to the Bears vs Packers: The Drinking Game, er, Bears Game Day.  My name is Mike Burzawa and I'll be pouring today, I mean, I'll be your tour guide for this (in my best John Facenda voice), the 179th meeting between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.  For those of you keeping score at home, the Bears lead the all-time series 91-81-6, so we've got that going for us.

When they last met during Week 1, there were such high hopes for the Bears.  They were unveiling their new toy in Jay Cutler and the playoffs were the goal.

A funny thing happened on the way to the playoffs.  The once-vaunted Bears defense was exposed as having more holes than a slice of Lorraine Swiss and Jay Cutler and the offense figured out that what they do best is throw interceptions.

All that's left to play for in Chicago is pride and trying to save a few jobs.  (Actually, it might be too late for that, but that's another story).

As much as things have changed for the Bears, they've also changed here at Game Day.  No, I haven't thrown 20 interceptions, but I've witnessed them all.  When we first started this little project, we had a guest blogger representing the opponent's point of view.

We quickly realized that we don't care about when the opponents have to say and they weren't bringing much to the party.  This is about the Bears and our reactions, so we cut that out and moved from a true play-by-play in the body of the post to a discussion and running commentary in the Comments sections.

That's where you can jump in and make this more fun.  Sign up and throw your $0.02 in as the action unfolds.  Don't leave it bottled up - get it out of your system ASAP.

I'll see you back before kickoff with updates, inactives and any final thoughts.  I'll post a Scoring Summary after the jump to help you catch up.

SCORING SUMMARY

Packers 7, Bears 0
On their first play from scrimmage, the Packers hand it to Ryan Grant who promptly takes it 62 yards for a TD.  Look on the bright side, at least the defense didn't tire themselves out on that series.

Packers 10, Bears zip

Mason Crosby connects on a 33 yard field goal to put the Pack up 10.

Packers 13, Bears nada

Mason Crosby hits a 26 yard field goal to help the Packers cash in on Jay Cutler's first INT of the game.  Working on a short field, the Pack sputter thanks to some penalties of their own.

Bears 7, Packers 13
Cutler hits Knox with a bullet to get the Bears on the board to cap off a 13 play 6+ minute drive.  Bears overcome more penalties and some nice catches by DA to get on the board.

Bears 14, Packers 13
Bears take the lead.  Anthony Adams' INT (yes, that Anthony Adams) sets up the Bears.  Cutler with some beautiful throws, capped by the 15 yarder to Devin Aromashodu.  Bears lead the Packers.  Woo hoo!

Packers 21, Bears 14
Jay Cutler's 2nd interception sets the Packers up.  Ryan Grant takes the plunge from the 1 to get the Packers up and Greg Jennings catches a 2-point conversion to take the lead out to 7.

Packers sweep away the Bears for the 2009 season with a 21-14 win.  Too many penalties and too many Cutler INT's, not to mention a horrible time-out mismanagement by Lovie with ANOTHER blown challenge, prove too much to overcome.

I'll be interested to see how they spin this loss to our biggest rival in what was Lovie's top priority when he signed on as head coach.

Thanks to all who participated in our lively discussion.  Unless I get fired, I'll be back next week for the Bears at the Ravens, who put up 48 on the hapless Lions at last glance.   It's only going to get worse.

Not too much "hopeful excitement" in the Bears Game Day Live telecast this morning. The tone is like some guys smoking outside a funeral home.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

LOL! I quit smoking years ago Jack! Don't get me wrong, I'm still rooting hard for the Bears, but I also have a solid grasp of reality. Pack D is #1 in the league and good QB's have carved up Lovie's Cover-2 like a Christmas goose.

Can the Bears go to Sweden with Tiger for a while?

It's high noon. Time for the 179th meeting of the Bears and Packers. Let's go Bears! Show some pride!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears win the toss and set to receive. Knox stumbles a bit and brings it out to about the 20. Cutler hits DA (Aromashodu) for 9. Welcome to the season. Pace and Hester are out for the Bears.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

3rd and 2 and Forte takes a big loss. Here we go again. Bears set to punt.

Mike Burzawa said:

Green Bay's first play from scrimmage is a Ryan Grant 62 yard TD. Sigh.

Oh come on. This is getting silly. Fire everyone.

Mike Burzawa said:

Bears switch up kick returners. Danieal Manning brings this one out to the 25. Forte picks up 10 on the first down carry. Take that Packers!

What was Hilenmeyer doing on that play? I know you have to fill your gap but cmon have some field awareness

Mike Burzawa said:

3rd and 11. Cutler takes off for a big gain. But there's a holding penalty on Omiyale. He's having a great series! Why is this bum starting over Beekman?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears try to set up a screen to Forte and it's sniffed out immediately. Boo birds are out. Aim them directly at #68 - Frank Omiyale with two penalties on that series. BOOOO!!!

CoachA2525 said:

This team, it's leadership, it's front office, and it's coaching staff are ALL inept! BLOW IT UP AND START OVER.

The Packers look bored and tired.
Bears defeat themselves --- again?

Well this looks like a blow-out. When's the Hawks game starting?

Umbra said:

3rd and 21, so you call a screen to Forte. Somewhere, John Shoop is smiling.

Mike Burzawa said:

I think Turner has Shoop's play book this season.

Mike Burzawa said:

Packers starting off at the 37 yardd line. Rodgers hits TE Lee for about 11 and a first down. Bears defense already in rare form. Hillenmeyer just gets a piece of Grant, but he still picks up 7. Packers actually facing a 2nd down.

christian h. said:

Hey, a Packers play goes for less than ten yards! Progress!

So far. False start. Holding. Offsides. Way to get them prepared Lovie. Your a turd!

Mike Burzawa said:

Rodgers hits Jennings deep in the end zone but he can't hang on. Tillman punches it out. McCarthy challenges the ruling. Don't be surprised if this gets overturned.

jack lacan said:

Mike Burzawa said:

Hey look - gang tackling! Grant dropped for a loss.

Bears take a time out to figure out how best to let the Packers score. I suggest Grant again. What? He's on my fantasy team. If the Bears can't win, why shouldn't I profit a bit?

Swendawg85 said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Why a time out now? what we thought we had our defense in the wrong position it's been in the wrong defense all season.

Mike Burzawa said:

Another penalty flag is down. This one on the Pack. Packers are sloppiest team in the NFL.

Why in hell do people get so involved with professional sports? OK, maybe if you have money on a game you might be a little interested, but that amount of dough isn't going to make you rich. What difference does it make in your personal life if the Bears win or lose? Maybe if you own a bar near where the game is being played you make more money. But for most people who are just fans- what's the draw? Is it just another way to distract oneself from the inevitability of death? Is it because it's a tradition? As Woody Allen said in "Deconstructing Harry", "Tradition is the illusion of permanence." I don't get it- watching a bunch of millionaire athletes running around playing kid's games. Stop living vicariously and just live.

Many, and I mean MANY, fans of duh bearssssss (and fans in general) have such desultory lives that rooting for sports teams and players is a way to feel like a winner. The fans bask in the reflected glory of others in order to feel good about themselves. And, rooting along with others gives them a sense of community and shared experience, that there are others that feel the gains and pains. That's one very simple explanation. Another is the failed athlete theory. These fans played high school sports but didn't do well. They sat on the jv bench of a losing varsity team. Again, they feel the need to bask in the reflected glory of others. Also a simple explanation.

That's just a few of the possibilities. For me, sports is the "thrill of victory, the agony of defeat" and all those other Jim McKay-isms. I don't take it personally when my college alma mater loses, I just go on with my life. I don't beat the dog, kick the kids, get totally drunk, etc. I just turn to the next game.

CoachA2525 said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

WHEN WILL THIS COACHING STAFF BE SENT PACKING? CUTLER THROWING ONE ROUTE. RECEIVER RUNNING ANOTHER. MISCOMMUNICATION. SHOULD THAT NOT BE CORRECTED DURING PRACTICE?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers take over in Bears territory. Packers will attempt a long field goal. Crosby lines one up from 50. Wait. Here come some shananigans from the Packers. Bears call a time out. Come on, let them try to the fake. Quit taking away our amusement.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers will go for it on 4th and 3. Rodgers scrambles under some heat, but picks up the first down. Where is the contain at left end?

Swendawg85 said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

I love how the packers hate that ryan grant is their running back and they let old man aman green come back and they both look like all stars today. We suck!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

False start on the Pack inside the 10. 2nd and 10. Billick is already driving me nuts! 3rd and 7 coming for the Pack. Rodgers can't connect with Finley. Pack set to kick another field goal. Defense has settled down, but it's time for Cutler and the offense to get it going. Pack go up 13-0 on Crosby's 2nd chip shot of the game.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Before you can look up, it's another 3rd and long for the Bears. He can't hook up with Bennett. Maynard set to punt. Ugh!

jack lacan said:

user-pic

DID THAT GRAPHIC SAY - BEARS IN THE HUNT? WHAT HUNT?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Hunt for a new coaching staff!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers take over at their own 39 and they're on the move. Already into Bears territory. Packers keep rotating their running backs to keep them fresh. Bears stuff the Packers and they will actually punt. It's booted into the end zone for a touchback. Bears will take over at the 20.

popa2103 said:

Olsen the latest winner in the False Start Sweepstakes! This team is so godawfully unprepared. Screen to Forte goes for a 3 yard loss. Omiyale and Kreutz missed a block there. 2nd and 18. Cutler just heaves one up to Olsen. No flags, no fun. Six Flags? Sorry, wrong commercial.

jack lacan said:

Why does Cutler keep under throwing this week?

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Well since we're quoting people let me quote Lenin (from "The symptoms of a revolutionary situation"): [the principal symptoms are:] (1) the impossibility for the ruling classes [ie, the McCaskey's] to preserve their domination in unaltered form ... (2) a more than normal aggravation of the want and tribulations of the oppressed classes [aka, fans]; (3) a considerable rise ... in the level of activity of the masses. [booing]

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Commie!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler throws a dart to Johnny Knox for a big first down pickup. Cutler then underthrows DA on what could have been an easy TD. Forte can't get the corner as Woodson blows him up. He just nearly picked off JC on the underthrow. This dude is all over the field.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

Aromashado (sp) is out best player today.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Just call him DA.

Dan in San Fran said:

popa2103 said:

Shouldn't we be blaming the field condition? It was the talk of the town last week.
I don't see the Packers slipping and falling.

Umbra said:

user-pic

No one can dodge Charles Woodson's mind bullets.

Mike Burzawa said:

Cutler hits DA to convert another first down. Clay Matthews comes in to sack JC on the next play. He needs a haircut. Who's hair is worse, Clay Matthrews or the inactive Craig Steltz? Hmm, that's a tough one.

jack lacan said:

Only question now - does Green Bay score a TD or FG with 1:48 left in the half. On the point after, there's a little skirmish. Another penalty. Pat Mannelly with a personal foul. I guess the answer to my earlier question is TD.

jwiegner said:

Mike Burzawa said:

Mike Burzawa said:

Time to open it up. Bears with 15 rushing yards in the first half. The bus we get off of must be the short bus. Just to shut me up, Forte close to converting another first down on the ground, pending the measurement. FIRST DOWN!

Mike Burzawa said:

Greg Olsen is so overrated

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Where were you when I was drafting my fantasy team?

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Remember back in the "Bear With Us" days when we used to refer fondly to the "overrated Lance Briggs"?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

DA's folk hero status is building with another catch. 3rd and 1 and the Pack only have 2 D-linemen. Instead of running, it's DA with another catch. Is it too late to sign him to my fantasy squad?

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

Omiyale has the worst stance with his right hand on his face mask. I have seen kids in Pop Warner who are coached better

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

That's Jerry Angelo's top target in free agency in the offseason.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

And Williams was his top draft pick two years ago, picked over several really good tackles who have produced in the league

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler hits Rashied Davis for about 9 yards. I didn't know he was still on the team. Kahlil Bell gets blasted at the point of attack, failing to pick up the first down on 3rd and 1. Bears set to punt. Come on, go for it. Give the fans something to cheer about. So what if it's the smart thing to do with a narrow 1 point lead?

Shuge said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

keep the pressure on them...DO NOT LET UP!

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Ah, that's Lovie for ya.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Pack back at it from the 25. Rodgers hits Finley for an 8 yard pickup. Bears brings the kitchen sink. Briggs was on him instantly. Nice blitz there. 3rd and 2. Rodgers cannot connect and the Bears set to get it back. Here we go Bea-ears, here we go!

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

You know, Lance Briggs is one of the few who actually stepped up his game once he got the money !

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler hits Forte, but Chris Williams with an illegal hands to the face penalty. Third quarter ends on that gem. Bears still clinging to a 1 point lead. Can they hang on to win?

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Another penalty on the line... jeez.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

Simple as a screwdriver...

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Yes! Forte.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

1st and 20 as the Bears open quarter #4. Forte picks up 13 yards on a decent run. Hey, there's Greg Olsen with his first catch of the day. 3rd and 5. Bears need this one to keep the Pack off the field, but instead JC is picked. UGH!

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

This is unreal

DitkaFan said:

Another under throw by Cutler results in an interception

christian h. said:

Never mind...

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

oh there we go. back to pik-city

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers from the 10. Cutler with 22 picks this season. Record is 42. It will be tough, but he's within striking distance.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

We must lead the league in the pass int for/ pass int against ratio.

Brad Palmer said:

user-pic

Bears went into the week tied for 30th with Cleveland at minus-9 in interception differential. Only Detroit was worse at minus-16.

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

I hate Donald Driver. I always have.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Rodgers tries to hit Driver, but Bowman is there is pass interference. Pack with first and goal from the 1. Come on D! Grant with his second TD of the game. Packers take back the lead. Pack will go for the 2 point conversion, being up 5 here. Rodgers hits Jennings for the 2-pt conversion. Pack up 7.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Just like that, it looks over for the Bears.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Nothing is over 'til we decide it!

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

The Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor.

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

In my humble opinion, Rex Grossman is looking pretty good right now. Oh wait, maybe that's him, out there!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Say it ain't so! Friends don't let friends make the Grossman call.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

Dan Bernstein wants to have a word with you.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler is calling for the facemask call as he's going down. He complains while being sacked. I think that's a drink and a shot in one fell swoop.

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

sorry, they just kinda look the same to me right now.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler nearly picked again. Geez, does he ever stop? He's like an interception machine!

popa2103 said:

user-pic

I really believe a lot of his INT's are due to young, inexperienced receivers. I'm not saying he isn't to blame for any off them but the QB needs to throw the ball where he expects his WR to be.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Time for Ron Turner to call plays designed to limit the defeat.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

What the hell was that play???

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Wish the Bears had watched the Cleveland defense last Thursday. and maybe if they had watched the Cardinals offense the week before...they could have seen how big boy teams do it.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

In other news from around the league, New Orleans with a narrow 3-point lead in Atlanta, Baltimore is pounding Detroit, the Vikings up 13 on the Bengals, Indy up on Denver.

Cutler fails to convert on a third down and the Bears punt. 9:42 left with the Bears down 7. Packers will take over deep in their own end.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

So a long drive coming up for the Packers to salt it away.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Grant takes one to the outside and a late flag for unnecessary roughness on Afalava. BS call. He was right along the sideline. Put a skirt on 'em! WTF?

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Why couldn't have Peyton Manning gotten mad at his coach and demanded a trade to Chicago...just fantasizing.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Or maybe just a short drive ending with a touchdown.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler holding court with Pep Hamilton, telling him how it's supposed to be. Meanwhile Rodgers hits Finley on a long pickup. Pack on the verge of the RED ZONE.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Grant with 129 and 2 TD's so far. That's getting off the bus running.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

That was a huge drop. I know its a long shot but maybe we can block the kick.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers miss the 42 yard FG attempt. Bears are still within a score. Let's go offense!

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

Hey, we have a chance, come on JC, beat the Packers and make some atonements

Neal said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

WIDE RIGHT, but does it really matter?

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Wow! I don't know what to say ! AFter that missed F/G, dare I hope?

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Let's go!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Just flipped to the red zone channel and saw Brunnel in for Brees. Anyone know what's up with Brees? Falcons within 3 late in the 4th.

popa2103 said:

user-pic

I just overheard Urlacher saying we should punt it now and let the defense when it.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

Williams really sucks

popa2103 said:

user-pic

I just overheard Urlacher saying we should punt it now and let the defense win it.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

This line is awful. Week in week out they absolutely suck.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

If you are going to call a time anyway, WHY NOT CHALLENGE!!!!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

AGREE! But they'll burn a time out AND challenge. Kill 2 stones with 1 stone.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Chris Williams nearly took Goldielock's head off with a major facemask. Cutler appears to hit Olsen for a catch. Might as well challenge it Lovie. Instead the Bears save the refs the hassle and just burn a time out with a 3rd and forever to go.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

What the hell is Lovie doing? Now is not the time to save the challenges.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

The dumb just got a lot dumber

popa2103 said:

user-pic

WTF Lovie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jwiegner said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

is lovie bozo the clown in disguise?

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

OMG, Lovie, Lovie...what are ya doin

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

I was kidding responding to Dan in San Fran, but Lovie's stupidity is beyond my imagination. He burns a time out AND then challenges. Why not just throw the red hankie right out of the gate? The Fire Lovie mob is assembling.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

It is pathetic that Lovie turned a joke into reality

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Okay, he clearly WANTS to get fired. There's no other explanation.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Lovie blows a challenge! DRINK!!!

popa2103 said:

user-pic

When you say DRINK, you really mean DOUBLE SHOT, right?

popa2103 said:

user-pic

I can't believe Lovie screwed this whole thing up. That is horrible head coaching.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

I have stayed off the Lovie hate wagon the last several years, but he has no business being a head coach with that timeout and then a wasting another timeout with a challenge that he should have thrown to begin with

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

On 3rd and 22, Cutler has to dump it down to Forte and he's stopped short. Just over 4 minutes left, but the Bears only have 1 time out left. How did that happen?

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

Da, comrade!

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Why didn't Lovie just challenge before the time out?

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Somewhere, George Hals is covering his eyes . . .

DitkaFan said:

user-pic

Olson did make the catch. The ref is wrong.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Why would you punt? You know they'll get a couple first downs.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers will run, run run. 3:15 left and Grant close to a first down. Critical 3rd and 1 coming up. Bears burn last time out. Lovie del Negro mismanages time out. I feel like the Bulls-Celtics series from last spring.

firelovie said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Don't get racial

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Wouldn't it be nice to have a time out left right about now?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

What fun would that be?

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Isn't there some Heidi movie somewhere that will save us the pain of watching the last few minutes.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Phew, I expected offside on the punt.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Another penalty flag on the return. Holding on the Bears. Backs em up to the 14 yard line. This is all by design to build Cutler's legend when he drives them down for the tie.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Correction - back the Bears up to the 9 yard line. Cutler hits Knox for a short gain that sends it to the 2 minute warning.

firelovie said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Well if that doesn't prove what a complete idiot Lovie is I don't know what does.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

Those dinks would would work a lot better if we had TIMEOUTS!!!

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

So true.

jack lacan said:

user-pic

The contra-indications of Chantex are what one gets when watching the Bears this season.

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

I just hear a PSA: "Four out of five businesses have no disaster plan". No kidding.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Just saw a commercial for this Chantix product to quit smoking. One of the side effects is suicidal tendencies when you go off of it. Ya, sign me up for that stuff! No thanks.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Maybe Bears games need to come with disclaimers for all the side effects.

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

....it hurts.

Dan in San Fran said:

user-pic

I guess that's one way to stop the clock

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler sacked to set up 3rd and 1. He hits Knox on a short gain. 4th and 4. And just to add to the drama, Kreutz with a false start. DRINK!

4th and Lovie's career to go. Incomplete. 1:08 to go and the Packers are a couple of kneeldowns away from sending Lovie to the unemployment line.

NorthsideMike said:

user-pic

Hey eveyone. Just got off work. Here we go. Big drive for the win!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Go back to work Mike. This one's ovah!

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

These people need to go. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Shuge said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

13 penalties for more than 120 yards....THAT is on the coaching staff and a lack of preparation. you can't make so many mistakes at home. lovie is done...beating the packers was his most important "goal" and they just got swept in miserable fashion. someone give cowher a call...

Shiloh said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Speechless . . .Goodbye fellow sufferers.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Packers sweep the Bears for the first time in Lovie's tenure as the Pack win 21-14. Thanks to all for joining this lively discussion. I am so fed up, I am going to start up the official ChicagoNow Fire Lovie Smith site. Enough is enough. This team is mismanaged, unprepared and undisciplined. Time to send Lovie a Christmas card with a pink slip in it!

christian h. said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Right on.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

I'd prefer including a red challenge flag.

jack lacan said:

user-pic

Thanks Mike --- Even Pat Boyle on PostGame is on Lovie...

Don't forget to turn out the lights.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Lights out!

NorthsideMike said:

user-pic

Damn. I had high hopes for this one. I like Cutler's decision making today though. And I thought Forte ran better. We are like one good O-lineman away from being a dominant offense.

Go Cubs!

kjb666 said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Are you kidding me? I hope you're being sarcastic because if you're not, then you're just blind.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Let's be positive. We can still finish 8-8.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

No we can't. We are awful.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

J/K. Actually the Bears are now mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

Shuge said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

anyone have bill cowher's phone number?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

I've been calling, but I keep getting a busy signal. Hope it's Virginia McCaskey.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Lovie really got grilled in his press conference. Nice to see for a change.

Mike Burzawa said:
