Nice job clearing the snow. Looks like a beautiful day for football.

FINAL SCORE: Bears 7 Ravens 31

Welcome to Bears Game Day.  If you're checking in at 12 Noon expecting kickoff, you've missed the news - kickoff has been pushed back to 3:15 Central.  (At least that's the latest info I have as of the writing of this intro.  There is a possibility of pushing back to Monday night, but no confirmation of that and frankly, we don't need another national TV embarrassment).

In typical Bears fashion (at least this season), the Bears' flight on Friday night did not get out of O'Hare and they missed their window to fly to Baltimore before the storm hit, so they aren't expected to arrive there until very late on Saturday night/Sunday morning.  I guess they've already got their excuse for getting blown out already set up nicely.

In case you missed it, I put together my Bears All-Decade Team earlier this week.  It was nice to take a little stroll down memory lane and remember some of the great Bears players this past decade.  I'll say this - it's WAY better than what they had going in the 90's, which I consider the Dark Ages of Football here in Chicago.  But I digress.

So Bears - Ravens, huh?  I'm not all that excited either, but these are still our Bears and no matter what, I'm faithful until the bitter end.

The Bears are left trying to scramble to save some jobs and try to make themselves look respectable while the Ravens are in control of their own playoff destiny.  That coupled with the Bears travels woes and an unmotivated and demoralized team could make for an ugly game.

That's OK - more fun for us.  Snide comments work much better when they're not playing well.  Plus, it gives me more fodder for my new blog here on ChicagoNow - FIRE LOVIE SMITH

If any updates pop up before kickoff, I'll post an update, otherwise I'll see you back around 3 PM Central with pre-game updates, injury news and plenty of weather updates.

I'll be posting a scoring summary after the jump and plenty of comments as the action unfolds in the Comments section.  Sign up to join in the fun.

SCORING SUMMARY

Ravens 7, Bears zip
Jay Cutler's league-leading 23rd INT sets the Ravens up on a short field.  Ray Rice with a couple of big runs and the quick scoring drive is capped off by a short TD catch by Todd Heap.

Ravens 14, Bears stuck on the runway at O'Hare
It's like the movie Groundhog Day.  Another Cutler INT.  Another big chunk of yardage by Ray Rice on the ground and another Flacco to Heap short TD pass.  And we're still in the first quarter.

Bears 7, Ravens 14

Earl Bennett with a 47 yard punt return for a TD is set up by the Bears failure to convert on 4th and 1 from the 1.

Ravens 21, Bears 7
The Ravens cover 65 yards in just 5 plays.  It's capped by a nice toss from Flacco to Demetrius Williams, who snagged it between two "defenders."  I say "defenders" because they actually need to be defending someone.

Ravens 28, Bears 7
Johnny Knox's fumble on the kickoff from the previous score sets the Ravens up with a short field.  Joe Flacco hits Derrick Mason for his 4th passing TD of the day.

Ravens 31, Bears 7
Matt Forte joins the turnover parade with a fumble on the Bears' 2nd offensive play of the half.  Ravens cap the drive with a 40-yard FG.

This game was over on Friday night when the Bears plane couldn't get out of the airport ahead of the storm.  An ugly game all around.  Jay Cutler's passer rating, a Grossman-esque 7.9.  I think that should sum it up.  They need to get these coaches out of here before they do any more permanent damage.

Be sure to check out FIRE LOVIE SMITH for plenty of analysis.

I got $20 bucks riding on the Ravens. My co-worker is a Bears fan and will be at the game. I can't wait to take his money!!!

Here's how I expect to stay interested in the game: Seeing whether Cutler can throw 3 interceptions before getting injured by a Ray Lewis sack.

I'm still excited for the game. Plus it's always fun to watch a game played in a lot of snow.

Mike Burzawa said:

So much for the snow. They should've left some on the field.

Bears inactives: Hester, Pace, Iglesias, Steltz, Marten, Pace, Gilbert

Ravens inactives: QB Beck, WR Washington, S Reed, S Gerard, LB Goode, G/C Hale, T Gaither, WR Clayton

Mike Burzawa said:

Ray Lewis doing his full body convulsion during introductions. It must be Game Time!!!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Billick again. Sigh.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Jay Cutler and the Bears start just inside their 20 and he hits Bennett with a bubble screen that goes for a nice gain. So of course, the Bears try DA (Aromashodu) on the other side for minimal gain. Cutler is picked off! Here we go again!!!

dr401k said:

user-pic

That's one interception!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Flacco and the Ravens take over near the 50. Ray Rice picks up 8 on 2nd down. We will see plenty of that guy today. And as I type that, Rice picks up the 3rd and 1 and so much more. He juked Kevin Payne out of his jock. Ravens in the Red Zone. Flacco hits Heap for the TD. Bears give up another opening drive score. Miserable!!!

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

The Ravens offense just sliced through the Bears' defense like a hot knife through butter ... the result ... Ravens 7 and Bears 0. Cutler tosses another INT to give the Ravens great field position to start the drive.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Danieal Manning with a nice return gets the Bears out near the 40. Matt Forte gets his first carry of the game. Ron Turner must have stumbled onto the RUNNING PLAYS section of the playbook as Forte gets his second carry for short gain. Forte takes the handoff on a 3rd down draw play and actually picks up the first down.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler mixes in a completion to Knox before Forte takes another couple of handoffs. Bears pick up another first down out to the Ravens 25 yard line.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

For crying out loud ... the third WR screen of the game ... come on Turner, you idiot!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ravens defense is tightening up. Forte is split out wide and another zero route goes for zero yards. 3rd and 9 coming. Cutler dumps off to Olsen, but it looks like he'll be short of the first down. It's 4th and 1 and the Bears will go for it. Forte dives up the gut and gets the first down.

Another Red Zone INT ... just shoot me now!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler's attempted screen pass to Forte is tipped and... you guessed it - INTERCEPTED. A defensive lineman picks off Cutler. This must be a record for INT's thrown to opposing defensive linemen. YEEESH!!!

dr401k said:

user-pic

I'm rooting for Ray Lewis to injure Cutler to take him (and us) out of his misery.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler with 6 red zone INT's this season. Just brutal.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

Ray Rice with a huge run ... lot's of arm tackling by the defense. Great coaching Lovie, you pathetic excuse for a head coach! Great idea to not allow tackling during training camp, and focus on stripping the ball.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Lovie just got schooled again by a John Harbaugh who has been a head coach for two years!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ray Rice is running wild on an end around for a 28 yard gain. He could tear off 100 yards in the first quarter. Heap gets a questionable catch on the sideline, but the Ravens don't give Lovie the chance to blow another challenge. They go no-huddle to get the next play off while Lovie's committee decides. A couple of plays later, its Flacco to Heap for another TD. Bears down 14-0 with 2:20 left in the first. Mommy, make it stop!!!

Neal said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

The most disgusting thing is that I read today that Lovie's job is considered safe! If that's the case, no reason to spend another $250 for DirecTV's football package next year!

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Ravens score again, Bears down by 14. This game is over in the first quarter. I hope the Bears get beat by 60 points to ensure Angelo, Love and the rest of his pathetic coaching staff are gone at the end of the season!

Is it too late to add Jay Cutler to the Gaines Adams deal? Cutler and our 2nd round pick for a guy who can barely get on the field???

Jimmy Greenfield said:

In my wildest dreams I never imagined Jay Cutler would be this bad. Yeah, the line stinks. But Cutler has done nothing to show he can succeed with even a decent cast around him. Just look at Denver.

mhaub said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

How can you justifiably bring back a coach the team has basically quit on. I've never been a Lovie hater but I just don't see how you bring a guy back that the team has clearly tuned out.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler hits DA to pick up a first down. He's starting in place of Hester. Bears miss DA on a pass attempt and then give to Forte up the middle for a short gain to end the first quarter. Bears down 14-0 after 1.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears face a 3rd and 6 to open the 2nd quarter. Cutler rolling right under heat and hits Knox to pick up the first down. Bears near midfield.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

I count at least 4 of those damn bubble screens/zero routes with only one of them actually succeeding. ARGH!

Cutler with a nice scramble to pick up the 1st down. Nice slide. Maybe the Cubs can sign him?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler is so fed up with the rush and missing throws, he's just running for 1st downs. It's like sandlot football. Forte picks up another first down with a 10-yard run. Bears are in the DEAD ZONE. Look out. Forte with a nice cut-back to pick up nearly 7 yards. Bears inside the 10.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Khalil Bell checks in a picks up a 1st down. 1st and goal Bears inside the 5. How are we gonna mess this up? Bell running again. Cutler misses Bennett. 3rd and goal from the 1. Ravens take a time out to re-group.

Neal said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

More time management issues. Does anyone on this team have a freak'n clue.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

In a word? NO!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Forte is stuffed at the 1. 4th and goal. Bears will go for it. Time for a sneak? Billick doesn't think they can shove it in. Bears take a time out. Is Lovie trying to decide if he should challenge the spot or something?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears in a spread formation. Cutler can't hit Olsen in the corner and the Ravens will take over on downs. Only more yardage that Ray Rice can pick up.

Neal said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Another predictable, worthless call. I might end up helping the wife clean the house after all!

Mike Burzawa said:

Bears non-scoring drive spanned over 70 yards and 19 plays. Result? Nothing but burning up the clock.

Mike Burzawa said:

KPOM said:

Thin crust or deep dish? Either way, you can stick a fork in it.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ravens with a 3rd and 9 from the 1. Rice is stuffed. Bears should get good field position here. Ravens punter standing at the back of his own end zone. Earl Bennett brings it to the HOUSE! 47 yard punt return for a Touchdown! Nice run.

Neal said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

The heck with the "O," let the special teams play the rest of the game.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

The only way to keep Cutler from screwing it up.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Good PR for TD by Bennett. The Bears offense can't score after a 19-pay drive, thank God for Special Teams. Seeing Bennett return the punt for a TD reminded me of what Hester used to provide for this team.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Besides the defensive stand at the Ravens' goalline, the Bears defense is looking very marshmallow-like! Another third down coversion.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

No pressure on Flacco. None. Todd Heap is showing up big today. He nabs a 2nd down catch to set up 3rd and 2. Flacco is just carving up the defense as he picks up another 1st down. Ravens run the Wildcat to pick up 9 yards on an option play. Bears take another time out with just over 3 minutes left in the half.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Flacco with a nice play action fake and pitches out to Mason for another first down. They make it look sooo easy against our defense. Troy Smith in again in some sort of Wildcat to pick up a couple of yards. Flacco tries to hit Mason in the end zone but he can't get the feet down.

hicster said:

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Lovie - you've been a bad boy this year. The best you can hope for is a pink slip.

Signed, Santa.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Flacco can't pick up a first down on a scramble as we hit the 2-minute warning. Ravens will be kicking a FG when action resumes. Bears will get the ball back with a chance to run the 2-minute drill with one time out left.

johnblohm said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

The game is not showing in my area...Have the Bears attempted to throw downfield at all...you know, more then 10 yds?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ravens miss on the 30 yard FG attempt. The snap was high. Can the Bears capitalize? I'm thinking no, but it's my job to ask.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Maybe the Ravens just want to make the game look closer.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

What time does the Hawks game start again?

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Get Lovie's clueless looking face off the T.V. I cannot stand the F@#$!!! idiot.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

It's like the Ravens know our plays before they happen. They had the screen pass sniffed out and Cutler had to throw it away.

After the first play, I realized what the announcers are pointing out. Both Forte and Cutler run out of bounds trying to scramble for the first. Ravens get the ball back without having to burn a time out. Where is the discipline? Where are the coaches?

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Bears just left the Ravens with great field poisition and a lot of time on the clock. Two bad plays in a row with Forte and Cutler running out of bounds.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Peanut just mugged Rice while he was trying to get out of bounds. At least Peanut is showing some heart and football smarts. Ravens forced to burn a timeout. 42 seconds left with the Ravens at the 46. Rice with a catch and run, but comes up just short of the first. Ravens burn their last time out a yard short of the first and a loooong FG attempt at best.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

Hey Jack - no false starts yet, yet being the operative word. Biggest false start actually happened trying to leave O'Hare on Friday night.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Flacco hits Rice for what would have gone for a big gain but not for an illegal formation. Flacco heaves one up to Mason and he almost hauls it in. Ravens set to punt. Kellen Davis runs into the kicker but it's not enough for a first down. Ravens decline the penalty. Bears get the ball at the 12 and take a knee to end another disappointing half of football.

Neal said:

Both my dogs just got loose and after chasing them into the neighbors yard, I realize they gained more yardage than the Bears O! Pathetic first half!

Mike Burzawa said:

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Your halftime stats.

For the Ravens:

Flacco 12/15 for 112 and 2 TD's.
Ray Rice with 76 yards and 7 carries.
Todd Heap with 5 catches for 56 yatds and 2 TD's.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

For the Bears:

Cutler 7/15 for 69 with zero TD's and 2 INT's.
Forte with 16 carries for 59 yards
Bennett with 1 catch for 30 yards. DA with 2 catches for 10 yards.

Mike Burzawa said:

2nd half underway and Derrick Mason with another catch. Tommie Harris' name called for the first time I can recall. Injury timeout - Ogunleye dinged.

raef said:

I'm done with Cutler, he is so horrible, i already see his post game comments " You can't turn the ball over in this league" he says that everytime ,but then does the same thing every Sunday. Do you guys think if he starts horrible next year there is a chance he will be pulled?

Mike Burzawa said:

I think all options have to be considered. I doubt the Bears go into next season with only Caleb Hanie backing up Cutler.

Neal said:

KPOM said:

Do we still have Basanez in the practice squad? He looked decent in some of the pre-season games. Of course, so did Cutler.

Mike Burzawa said:

Flacco tosses a 20 yard completion to Williams. Ravens marching. Williams just pulled it down between Afalava and Tillman. Are you kidding me? This isn't Moss or Andre Johnson, it's some dude I've never heard of. WTF? Bears down 21-7.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

Flacco tosses it between two Bear defenders, and Williams reels in the pass for a TD. Good God!

jwiegner said:

Before I can even finish my Scoring Summary, Johnny Knox has the ball stripped away on the kick return. Ravens recover deep in their own end. Take that gold star away from the Special Teams.

johnblohm said:

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

OMG ... when it rains, it pours. Knox just lost the ball on the Ravens 29-yard line. Nothing has gone right for this team the entire season, which is why there "must" be major changes in this organization. Good riddance Lovie and Angelo!!!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

3rd and 9 from the 28, but no problem from Flacco. Mason pulls in another catch for a first down. Ravens in hurry up from the 18.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

And the route is on ... Bears down 28-7 in the early third quarter!

jwiegner said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

what are the odds on lovie being the coach next year?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Flacco evades a feeble blitz attempt and hit Derrick Mason for another TD. Ravens up 28-7. This is shaping up to be a 'legitimate' loss (http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bears-game-day/2009/12/either-lovie-smith-is-galactically.html).

The Bears have taken on the semi comatose personality of their coach, plain and simple. They have a QB who can throw the ball 60 yards down the field but repeatedly throw the ball sideways in the backfield... which everyone knows they will do over and over again. What an uninspired team with unimaginative play calling. If the Steelers and Seahawks field goal kicker had made their easy short field goal attempts, the Bears would have just 3 wins over the Rams, Cleveland and Detroit! Thank goodness Lovie said he "is playing to win games this year". saying that means he could care less about the future because with any luck for us Bear fans... he will be gone by next year. They will have to wake him up to tell him if he is fired.

Ravens bring the latest Brad Maynard offering back nearly to midfield. Flacco fumbled and we can't even cover it up.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ravens set to punt as the 3rd quarter comes to a close. Can we just quit this game? There's still a whole quarter left to go of this embarrassment.

Ravens planning on putting in the ballboy at QB for the 4th quarter

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ravens punt. Graham came dangerously close to running into the kicker. Ravens sack Cutler. The Bears might consider pulling him to protect their investment. Or leave him in to get him out. Bears flagged for a facemasking penalty on offense.

bearknuckles said:

Next week's lose is a given and a real good chance we lose to the Lions. If Lovie, Angelo and Phillips aren't gone immediately after the season someone called the cops because someone is holdong this franchise hostage.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Lions actually kept up with the Cardinals today, losing in the last minute. The same Cardinals team that ran out us out of our own building.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears facing a 3rd and 18 and they hand off to Forte. They've officially given up. Maynard punts again. Tim Shaw with a nice pop on the punt return. He's venting a little frustration.

tsnst said:

Lovie - PLEASE, PLEASE, resign because the McCaskey's are too cheap to fire you. Have some pride and step down.

dr401k said:

With no draft picks and Lovie apparently returning, how will 2010 be any better?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

It won't be. It will get worse before it gets better. Wake me up in 2011. Oh wait, that will be a lockout so the owners can figure out how to make more $'s.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

Another uninspired offensive series by the Bears. It looks like both the offense and defense are praying for this game to end quickly. Of all my years as a Bears fan, at least when are teams sucked, they played hard and let the other team know they were in a football game. This team is so unbelievably soft, it makes me sick to my stomach to watch them.

jwiegner said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

the lions will most likely get their third win vs the bears

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Resign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL who would quit a job where you don't have to know what you're doing, walk along the side lines with a blank stare, see a game for free and make 5-6 million a year?

Mike Burzawa said:

Steelers are beating the Packers 24-14. It's the little things that make me smile.

dr401k said:

user-pic

Thank you for that. That kind of optimism makes me think you must be a Cub fan, too.

jack lacan said:

Time for the fumblerooski...
Lovie should throw a challenge flag the size of an XL Snuggie.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears have the ball again and they're running Forte. Boost up that rushing average in garbage time.

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Cutler should throw a bullet screen pass right into Lovie's mugg and wake that retard up.

jack lacan said:

user-pic

Maynard's leg and foot must be killing him with pain...

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Forte runs into a pile of people, spins around and tries to run backwards??? How about cutting back to open daylight, making a few people miss and gain some yardage!!! Oh, and the Bears just went three and out ... again!!!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears will punt again. They had 3rd and 2 and they run a fade route along the right sideline. Just horrible. No imagination. No effort. If you're going to stop trying, you should either put all subs in or take a knee.

Tracy said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Punting there? That's called surrendering. Indefensible.

TheFoss1957 said:

A total embarrassment of a season, this game is no different...and, of course, Lovie IS our coach for 2010...so what potential OC will want to take RT's chair when he is the human sacrifice?

MrTeepee49 said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

I knew the Bears would be a little flat. They are thinking ahead about that Lions game. No doubt that they are going to get their rear ends handed to them by Minnesota, but if the Lions do it to them too, maybe we can finally say goodbye to all the coaches and the GM.

dr401k said:

Angelo is not committing to Lovie? I see a light.

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Lovie's a done deal......has to be.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

All of the Bears dirty laundry is being aired out by Billick and Brennaman. All the "Will Lovie be back" questions. Nothing worthwhile talking about on the field.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

That was the best looking blitz I've seen the Bears execute all season. I wonder if the Ravens have their second team in the game?

jack lacan said:

user-pic

Lovie should be wrapped up in an XL Snuggie...good riddence and say hello to Milton Bradley...

Next week is Fan Appreciation Day. Every fan that bothers to show up...what a minute, THIS team hasn't bothered to show up this season, why should we?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Ravens with a rare 3rd and very long and an even more rare punt today. Earl Bennett takes it out to midfield.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Bears offense is like an 11-man dry heave. Just awful. AWFUL!!!

early121 said:

Someone pointed a laser at the raider defense in denver. The cops are in the stands looking for the guy. Better drama than the bear game.

KPOM said:

dr401k said:

And that makes THREE!!! I hate being right.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

Cutler running for his life and throws his third INT. Atypical!

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Anyone ever notice Lovie's play chart? Most team's look like a billboard with several folds and plays everywhere. His looks like a one page menue from a mom and pop bed and breakfast......WHERE"S THE PLAYS!!!!!!!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Cutler with another INT - 25 on the season.

KPOM said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Only 6 more and he'll have a Bears record. Go for it!

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Screen left, Screen right, Forte up the middle, through it up for grabs. the Bears entire play book there.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Troy Smith in for the Ravens. They Flacco's arm is tired. Ray Rice hasn't played since the 3rd quarter. Might as well rest those guys - they actually have something to play for.

and go 5-11 ---?

Mike Burzawa said:

Bears with 6 turnovers today. Is that a season high?

jack lacan said:

user-pic

It's like watching someone throw up for four quarters...

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Four INTs, two fumbles, no offensive TDs, defense that can't stop anyone, no draft picks until the 3rd round and the very high possibility both Angelo and Lovie will be back next season. Can't wait for the 2010 season.

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

It's contagious

bearknuckles said:

Did the Bears plane actually land???

dr401k said:

user-pic

So do you think Lovie will use his time outs?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

My first question for Lovie Smith if I could attend the press conference - is this what you would consider a legitimate loss?

bearknuckles said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

First question....SO how does it feel to get paid so much to do absolutely nothing?

Hoss said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Bye bye Lovie, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

2 minute warning.

Let's try to pull some positives from this game....

1. Lovie did not blow any challenges.
2. Um, someone, anyone, help... any other positives?

dr401k said:

user-pic

No one was killed.

bearknuckles said:

Didn't see any false starts. That's a first for this squad.

jack lacan said:

Bears Post-Game should be a pleasant dinner companion...
Let's hear some poat-game remarks on this one Lovie...
Feel like pooh-pooh today.

Colorado Bears Fan said:

Wish Bowman could have had an INT in the first thee quarters before the game was too far gone for the Bears' anemic offense.

Neal said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

My house is cleaner, is that a positive?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Hey look - a Zack Bowman interception! No, he's not another Bears QB. That will help that turnover margin.

Kahlil Bell with a carry in garbage time. Just over a minute left to go.

TheFoss1957 said:

user-pic

Put a Troy Smith pick in the +turnover column! That will give Lovie something positive to talk about at the post game presser! He may not even have to "take a look at the film" to comment on it! Yeesh....

jack lacan said:

user-pic

Positives --- Bears did not score a wrong-way touchdown

Next week, the Bears take on the Vikings on Monday Night Football. That should be really ugly. With the Saints loss, the Vikings could have a lot to play for.

KPOM said:

The only question is whether the Bears will cover the point spread.

jack lacan said:

bearknuckles said:

Can someone tell me how players that Lovie and Angleo let go get better with other teams if these two bone heads are actually doing their job?

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Thanks to all for joining the discussion today. It really helps these ugly games pass better when there's a some lively banter.

Best wishes to all for a Merry Christmas! Write your letters to Santa and make sure you ask for a new coaching staff. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Colorado Bears Fan said:

default userpic local-auth auth-type-mt

Signing off until the beating by the Vikings next week. What stood out for me during this game is the lack of pride, intensity and toughness on both sides of the ball. The team has obviously given up on Lovie, and if he can't inspire them to at least play for pride, and build momentum for next season, then the time has come to say goodbye to Lovie "Clueless" Smith and Angelo Turner!

Mike Burzawa said:

user-pic

Jay Cutler's QB rating 7.9 - Grossman-esque!

Mike Burzawa said:

KPOM said:

Denver just lost a squeaker, so it looks like Orton might not make the playoffs, either.
