Game starting off in typical Bears fashion - D looks shaky. Oh, and the offense too.

Mike Vick back in - this time he fakes a handoff and tosses to Celek under heavy heat. 3rd and 7 with D Mac back at the controls. McNabb avoids the sack and scrables with flags littering the field. Facemask on Izzy - 15 yards and a first down. Dumb penalties = 1

McNabb hits Celek for a 21 yard gain. Eagles already have over 100 yardds of offense as they are on the brink of the Red Zone. Anthony Adams offsides. Dumb penalties = 2.

Cutler needs to put together a drive. Can someone please unplug Ron Turner's headset. I think JC could come up with better plays on his own!

Cutler hits Olsen on a short out to pick up 3. YAY! Forte picks up a few to set up a 3rd and 2. Need to pick this up Bears! And it looks like they do on a draw play.

Kahlil Bell check in a promptly drops a pass. Bell breaks through for a HUGE GAIN! 72 yards to get the Bears to the dead zone, I mean Red Zone! Where have they been hiding this guy!

So of course they pull Bell to hand to Forte. Cutler scrambles free on 3rd and goal into triple coverage. WTF? Gould on to kick a gimme. Bears tack on 3 to cut the lead to 4. Welcome to the NFL Mr. Bell.

Hey look - pressure by the Bears! Hunter Hillenmeyer and Mark Anderson bring down D Mac. Alex Brown bringing pressure to set up a 3rd and 15. Can the D stop a 3rd and long? NOPE! Maclin on a slant. Bears defense on 3rd and long = Swiss cheese.

A 3rd and 4 coming up. Chances to stop are better than 3rd and long. Come on D! Zack Bowman with the INT! Sets up great field position for the Bears! Nice play!!!

Hester can't catch up with a Cutler bomb and it's all for naught anyway - Holding on Jason McKie. Matt Forte runs into a pile as the boo birds chime in again. 2nd and 18 and they toss a little flare to Forte to pick up 1. UGH! 3rd and 17 coming up. Cutler evades the rush and nearly tears Knox's hands off with a laser beam. Knox can't hang on and the Bears will punt.

DeSean Jackson flips the field with a 53 yard punt return. Damn. Eagles are set up in Bears territory.

Jackson with a catch, but Tillman with his patented punch out and Anthony Adams recovers it, cartwheeling off the field. NICE BEARS!!!

Bell back int the game and Kellen Davis with a holding penalty. Bears moving the wrong way. 1st and 20 coming up. Bell bursts through to pick up a few yards.

Cutler hits Hester to get it down to a 3rd and 4. Cutler tosses up a bomb but no one is home. Eagles with illegal contact and the Bears get a 1st down. Cutler hits Earl Bennett for 5 more. Bears at midfield with about 3 minutes left in the half.

Great 2nd effort by Bennett. Looked like he'd get stopped short, but he drove through for a 19 yard pickup.

Cutler misses Hester deep and then Forte gets a carry, but of course, it's a holding penalty. Kreutz the offender this time. 2nd and 20.

Cutler has all day back there, but with nothing doing, he takes off. Cutler hits Olsen and with the spin move, he falls short of the 1st down. Cutler tries to hurry to the line, but the Bears sideline slows him down. Sure, give the Eagles a chance to re-group. Great plan.

Bears will go for it and they pick up the first on a Cutler sneak. Bears at the 20 and Cutler runs for his life, throwing it away. Illegal contact on the Eagles for an automatic 1st down. 46 seconds left. So they run to Forte. WTF? Get it in the end zone please. That's the big area before the goal posts with the writing on the grass!

Bears taking their sweet time with the clock running on 3rd and 5. Eagles do us a favor and take a time out.

Cutler throws it out of the back of the end zone and it's Robbie Gould time. And it's GOOOOOD! Bears cut it to a 1 point lead.

That concludes an interception free Cutler first half! Bears get the ball to start the 2nd half. D has settled down after a shaky start. It's amazing what happens with a few takeaways. Time to get some halftime refreshments. BRB...

Bears 2-4 in conference - that kills our tiebreakers. Bears set to receive. D Manning busts it out to the 30. Baba Wawa reports that Kahlil Bell will get more time.

That bubble screen is not fooling anyone in a white shirt tonight. That's two busts with that play. Could Turner be setting something up? Nah! Trent Cole busted through from nowhere. He ran through Kreutz like nothing. Bears punt again. Great start to the 2nd half.

Bears decline an ineligible downfield and will take over in great field position. Again. Can we do that thing where they give you six points? I think it's called a touchdown, but it's been a couple of games since I've seen one scored by our team.

Cutler nearly picked again, trying to hit a slant to Knox. That was close. Again. Cutler airmails Olsen again. JC is not happy. Gould on for a 49 yard attempt. SOLID! Bears take the lead!

Eagles start at the 32. McCoy gets a rushing attempt to pick up 7 yards. McCoy again to pick up the first, but wait, it's a false start to back em up. 2nd and 8. End around to D Jackson to pick up the first. Alex Brown lost contain.

Lance Briggs gets a rare blitzing opportunity and brings down McNabb. Nice play! Can we do these delayed blitzes more? Briggs nails Maclin short of the first. Hester back to return another Eagles punt. Hester runs into his own guys for the 2nd time tonight. Where has the magic done #23?

Word from the Twitter-verse is that Hanie is warming up. WTF?

No sign of Hanie as JC is back to hand it to Forte, who picks up 4. Cutler's pass is batted down to set up a 3rd and 6. Cutler calling some audibles at the line. Something wrong on that last toss - either the receiver cut the route off or something. Maynard on to punt. Tim Shaw rocks DeSean Jackson on the punt return.

McNabb hits DeSean Jackson on a 49 yard bomb! TD Eagles! Um, where was the safety? Just like that, Eagles grab the lead. That's Jackson's shortest TD of the season. Thanks - that makes me feel better.

Cutler drawing some plays up. Good - can't be worse than than Turners! Knox with a big return to set up the Bears again. Cutler hits Hester to pick up a first down and move into Eagles territory.

Forte with a decent little run to pick up 7. Olsen catch a quick hitch and bulls his way to a first down. Olsen bulled his way. True fact. Bennett with a 9 yard pickup with under 4 minutes in the 3rd quarter.

Collinsworth calls the field gooey.

Forte picks up another first down to get down to the 15. Cutler hits Kellen Davis to cap a 6 play 55 yard drive. Beautiful catch. Bears will go for 2. He hits Forte for the conversion. Bears up 3. Wake up people! The Bears have scored a TD!

Bears and Soldier Field are fired up. Let's go Bears. Eagles are 1-10-1 in last 12 games decided by a TD or less. Or something like that. Bottom line - close game favors Bears, statistically speaking.

Eagles convert a first out of the Wildcat. McNabb hits D-Jack - Tillman punches it out, but it's out of bounds. Close. McNabb hits a big gainer but it's called back for a tripping call. Eagles commit a dumb penalty. 2nd and 17. Slip screen to Maclin for a short gain to end 3rd quarter.

3rd and long coming up to open 4th quarter. Big stop to stuff Celek short of the 1st. Let's go Bears!!!

Bell in the backfield again, picks up 4. Kellen Davis goes down really easy for such a big dude. Damn - break a freaking tackle! 3rd and 4 and Cutler can't hook up with Bennett. We needed to control the ball a bit to give the D a break.

Collinsworth keeps talking about Cutler backing up on his throws. Is he finally getting squeamish after taking all those shots this year?

McCoy with a nice run, but he coughs it up. Bears recover! Hillenmeyer recovers. Tillman with another punchout! WOW!

Time for a TD. Bears ball at the 39 and Forte dropped for a loss of 2. 3rd and 12 coming up. Screen is set up, but it is stopped short. Robbie Gould comes on for a 48 yard attempt. FG is blocked! Damn!

Eagles take over with just under 11 minutes left. McCoy running left to pick up about 4. Avant picks up a few, but just a whisker short of the 1st. Sneak coming? Yup! First down Eagles.

McNabb hits Jackson on a slant to pick up about 9. Eagles into Bears territory. Another first down. Eagles at the 40, just over 8 minutes. D Jack down to the 35.

McNabb hits Maclin down to the 24. Weaver plows down to the 20 in FG range. Clock running down to 6:17 left on the incompletion. 3rd and 6. Big play coming up.

McNabb reads the blitz perfectly and hit D-Jack for the 1st down. Let's go D! And McCoy busts through for the TD. Eagles back up.

5:26 to go, Bears down 4. Any way they can orchestrate a TD drive to run down the clock?

False start by Orlando Pace. Great start to the defining drive of the game. Hall of Fame, here he comes!

Ref gets blasted as Forte tries to cut back on the screen play. Cutler hits Forte again, down to the 30. 3rd and 5 coming up. Big play here with 4:16 left. Cutler launches deep for Knox and he can't catch up to it. Collinsworth torching Cutler again. Those plays are 50/50. Maynard punts it down to the 19. Defense needs a stop ASAP!

3:37 left. Eagles will try to run it out. Bears take their first time out. 3;32 left.

McNabb hits Avant. Graham get him out of bounds short of the first. Clock stops. Huge conversion attempt coming up. McCoy looks like he picked up the first down. It will be close. 3:19 left. Briggs had him dead to right in the backfield. Got to wrap it up there. WOW! By the nose of the ball, the Eagles get a fresh set of downs.

McCoy dives at the line of scrimmage. 3:13 left and they use their last time out. Only the 2 minute warning can stop it. Do the Eagles dare throw it? 2nd and 9. Come on D!

3rd and 4 and it's likely the ballgame. Got to stop em. Philly will call a time out as the play clock runs down. Stop and you get a shot. Philly converts and it's 4-6 here we come.

Bears stop em! The Bears will get the ball with just under 2 minutes left. Can we set up a Hester return? Please? One time this season would be nice.

Hester wants nothing to do with a big return. Great. Illegal block in the back will back us up. That is the WORST CALL I have EVER SEEN!

Bennett can't get out of bounds - Bears on the move. Cutler can't hit Hester on the slant. 4th and 1.

Ballgame and season coming up. Cutler hits Knox. Clock running under a minute. Cutler spikes it with 52 seconds left.

Need a big play somewhere. And the Eagles get it. Ball is tipped up and the Eagles pick it off. Ballgame. Season. As Joniak would say, Fade. To. Black. Eagles move to 6-4 while the Bears fade into obscurity.
