Good morning Chicago Bears fans!!!  It's GAME DAY!!!  (Whenever I say that, I can't think of when the 90's Bulls used to break their huddle before coming out onto the court:

"WHAT TIME IS IT???"

"GAME TIME, WHOOO!!
"

If you're heading down to Soldier Field for the home opener, please send your awesome tailgating and pre-game pics my way so I can help less fortunate fans who can't get tickets share the game day experience.  E-mail your pictures to beargoggles.boomer@gmail.com or include #bearsgameday or #bearssteelers to your twitpics and tweets.

For anyone not familiar with Bears Game Day, we'll be doing a Live Blog for every Bears game to provide coverage of the action and instant reaction.  This week, I'll be joined by rabid Steelers fan Scott Kleinberg, so it could get a little ugly.  Luckily, I don't have to be in the same room with the guy.

Kickoff is at 3:15 today, as this will be the feature game for CBS, which means that it will be broadcast to most markets unless there is a game of local interest that trumps it.  Check your local listings.

CBS sends their #1 crew of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms to cover the action.  Listen to how Phil Simms pronounces Denver:  "Dinver".

Normally it wouldn't matter for a Bears-Steelers game, but with Jay Cutler's former team being the Broncos, I'm sure there will be a bazillion "Dinver" references.  Sorry, I can't suffer through that alone.

I caught a piece on Bears Gab on some of the updates to the game day operations at Soldier Field.  Some of the highlights:

New text system to request assistance anonymously in the stadium - Text the keyword "BEARS" to 41513, describe the fan conduct issue and exact location (section, row & seat) where assistance is needed.

There will be no parking at Michael Reese Hospital for Bears fans due to plans to develop the area. Cash parking with free shuttles will continue to be available at the McCormick Place Lot B ("31st St. Lot") and the and Millennium Garage.

Tailgating in Museum Campus parking lots during the game will continue to be prohibited.

Additional restrooms have been added on the Service Level, accessible from the South Courtyard behind the Doughboy statue.

The Bears Ultimate Tailgate before the first four home games. Contests, free Bears alumni autographs, food sampling, interactive giveaways, WBBM pre-game broadcast for the first two games.
Lots of other great info, so check out the entire piece by clicking here.

More updates to follow throughout the day and we'll start up our live Game Day Blog about an hour before kickoff.

Check out a couple of pics from the PreGame activities:

Here's Steeler Scott with his Terrible Towel. At least he'll have something to wipe the tears when his Steelers lose today!
