The Bears' search for an offensive coordinator keeps hitting roadblocks. First choice Jeremy Bates is headed to Seattle and second choice Tom Clements won't be allowed to cross the Cheddar Curtain. Who;s left?

Matt Bowen assessed the Bears coaching search on National Football Post.

Talking to people within the league and sources close to the Bears, the overwhelming assessment is that coaching in Chicago right now is a desperation job.

Not exactly how the clowns played if off a week ago at the Presser, huh? I hate to say "I told you so, but, um, I told you so" well over a week ago

If you keep Lovie as head coach, what kind of offensive coordinator can you bring in to a situation with a potential lame-duck coach? A vulture like Mike Martz looking for an angle to get his foot in the door to get a head coaching job? No thanks.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Here's a list of dark horse candidates the Bears should be considering in slide show form.

We need a whole offensive staff and these guys can relate to the clowns running the Bears.
He dealt with difficult ownership, but Virginia McCaskey, well, she's no Cameron Diaz, is she?
Hydration is very important and he trained under The Fonz.
Did a good job with QB Johnny Utah and always knows when to go for two.
This is the offense Lovie would like to run. (Batteries not included)
Those dashes are supposed to be Forte, Hester and Knox.
Can also assist when deciding whether to throw the red challenge flag.
