Man needs testimony of boss before he dies
A man who says he was sexually harassed by his male supervisor is petitioning the court to get the deposition testimony of the supervisor before the supervisor dies of cancer.
Brian Sowa says that while he was employed at Lennar Corporation he was sexually harassed by R. Steven Ivey. Such harassment included requests for sex and sexual acts and "offering to pay me to engage in sex with him," the petition states.
Now, according to the petition, Mr. Ivey has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and Sowa asserts that Ivey needs to be deposed as soon as possible so that his testimony may be preserved for the expected litigation.
A procedural matter is holding up Sowa's filing of a complaint as he waits for his Right to Sue from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Blockbuster boss asked to see breasts for promotion
A Schaumburg woman is suing Blockbuster for sexual harassment after an alleged series of events, including being asked by her boss to show him her breasts, which she did on two occasions, and then being passed up for a promotion and later fired.
According to the complaint, while plaintiff Angela Prince-Stengl worked at the Blockbuster in Hoffman Estates, she was subjected to the following harassment by her supervisor, Darrik Perrier:
- Perrier made numerous inappropriate comments such as "anytime you want three inches for three minutes..."
- Perrier took photos of plaintiff's backside and refused to delete them.
- Perrier told plaintiff that if she showed him her breasts, he could make her promotion happen faster. Plaintiff "did acquiesce."
- Perrier told plaintiff that he could make her promotion happen faster if she showed him her breasts again. Perrier "promised this would be the last time" and plaintiff "conceded."
- Perrier called plaintiff into his office to go over computer training files but there was only one chair in his office. Perrier instructed plaintiff to sit on his lap and she "reluctantly, sat down but immediately got up."
- When plaintiff told Perrier that she would need five days off to visit her ill grandmother, he became angry and asked for plaintiff's keys.

Woman says her boss demanded to see her breasts
An Aurora woman is suing the movie theater where she once worked for sexual harassment after her boss blocked the door of his office and would not let her out until she showed him her breasts.
Kathryn Rawlings alleges that on February 17, 2009 while she was employed at the IMAX movie theater in Batavia, Illinois, she was confronted in the manager's office by the assistant manager, Jerry Smith, who "advised Rawlings she could not leave the office unless and until she showed him her breasts. When Rawlings refused, Smith closed the door and again demanded to see Rawlings' breasts and advised her he would only open the door to let her leave if she did so. Upon showing him her breasts, Smith then allowed Rawlings to leave the office."
