A 21 year old woman is suing her mother for return of a painting that she says was a gift to her from her father.
Shannon O'Hara says that in 2005 her father gave her a valuable painting known as "Kitten" by E. Molineux and that when her parents divorced, her mother Marcia O'Hara testified that the painting was in fact given to Shannon as a gift.
However, according to the complaint, in October 2009, Shannon moved from where she lived with Marcia and in with friends in Wisconsin and took clothes as well as the painting. Marcia then had local police remove the painting by force, the complaint states.
The complaint asks the court to require Marcia to deliver the "Kitten" painting to Shannon.
