20 Year Old Man Sues Museum for Incident 18 Years Ago

A 20 year old Wilmette man is suing a museum for an incident that allegedly happened 18 years ago when he was two years old and placed fake food from an exhibit in his mouth.

Jonathan D. Herz is suing Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago for an incident that occurred in 1992 when the museum had a "Jewel Food Store" exhibit with fake plastic food.  At the time, according to the complaint, Herz "placed a plastic mock food item in his mouth and immediately thereafter was severely injured from such action."

The complaint asserts that the museum disregarded its duties to "maintain the premises in a safe condition and free from attractions and activities which could cause the spread of contagious diseases.
