Not on the merits, but I saw, clicking through, that the plaintiffs' request for preliminary discovery was signed by an attorney for "Chicago Risk Services, Inc," which is an insurance agency, according to Google. What ever happened to the rules that a business corporation is not authorized to practice law, or that even if an insurance company can hire attorneys, attorneys in its employ are not allowed to represent outside clients, or that it was supposedly unethical for an attorney to engage in a different business at the same address?
