A woman is suing her former employer for defamation after he told people she was "post-partum" and "delusional" and caused her to lose Facebook friends.
Annmarie Swatos says that while she was a real estate agent with Gloor Realty, she and Richard Gloor had a romantic relationship. When their respective spouses discovered the affair and both the business and romantic relationships ended, Swatos claims Gloor told several people, including a potential employer and previous clients, that she was "crazy" and "delusional." Gloor also told several people that Swatos was "post-partum" and "stalking" him.
The complaint asserts that Gloor's communications caused several friends and acquaintances to "block [Swatos] from communicating with her through the social networking site Facebook."
The complaint also states that Gloor admitted to making up the allegations in order to "save his ass" with his wife and his marriage.

I'm sure her loss of Facebook friends had nothing at all to do with her being totally batshit crazy. Besides, how do you assign monetary value to Facebook friends?

In all seriousness, if this happened in corporate America, she would be walking away with the keys to the company or a bag of cash, but since most agents are independent contractors, they can’t sue their employer for sexual harassment. Stuck between a rock and a hard place;) The facebook friends is trivial, but if you read the whole complaint, I think Dick is going to have some real trouble with the State of Illinois and their license laws. Also, I think this is a direct slap in the face of all women, being labeled as delusional, or post partum, I guess that must have been the easy way to explain the affair to the wife. “She’s crazy “Little Richard” was never hard!” “Define the meaning of “Is” It takes two to Tango and Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time! They’re both idiots!

Her claims are so Paula Jones vs. William Jefferson Clinton.
The Clinton case established that every male boss is allowed to masturbate in front of a female employee, then order her to "kiss it", take her on his lap and then grab her breasts, without being guilty of or liable for any sexual harassment. The Clinton legacy is that all male bosses get "one free feel" and as long as he doesn't repeat this behavior after she says not to, then there's no legal problem.
