Remember the case of the woman who is suing the Brookfield Zoo because she said the dolphins were encouraged to splash water on spectators which made the floor wet and slippery and caused her to fall? Refresh your memory here.
A check of the file reveals that the zoo was granted an extension to answer and the plaintiff filed an amended complaint since the first one posted here in August.
The amended complaint still points the finger at the dolphins but also provides more detail on the wet and slippery area ("slimy algae build up") and points out that the zoo makes spectators exit the dolphin exhibit via the slippery area.
The amended complaint also states that the zoo had an insurance policy for medical payment coverage up to $15,000 but the insurance company has failed to pay the plaintiff, who was allegedly taken away from the zoo in an ambulance and incurred over $25,000 in medical expenses.
Read the amended complaint after the jump.
