Woman Seeks American Drycleaner Magazine to Aid in her Asbestos Action

A woman suffering from mesothelioma subpoenaed Crain Communications today to produce all issues of American Drycleaner magazine published from 1960 to 1981, including advertisements therein.

Virginia Niusini worked at her family's dry cleaning business throughout the 1960's and 1970's where she believes she was exposed to asbestos in press covers.  She is hoping to review the trade magazine back issues in order to identify the manufacturer and distributor of the press covers she used during that time.

According to the subpoena, Niusini's attorney discussed her need to review the issues with Crain's agent.  The agent indicated that the issues are physically present in Chicago but would not allow Niusini to review them without a valid subpoena.
