Listen: "September Remembered"
An energetic and rambunctious live show sets the band apart. [We] constantly involve the audience in the show, breaking down the barriers between performers and audiences. We believe greatly in the importance of live shows and do over 100 per year.
Describe your sound in five words or less.
Politically charged rock punk
Tell us something random about the band, and why that's significant.
I once made our drummer, Andy, eat six butter packets since he didn't have money to pay for his eggs. (This was a couple weeks ago.)
Who would you want to work with, and who would you never work with? Why?
Relationships, cooperation and collaboration are our fuel. I would love to work with anyone involved in DIY lifestyles. Plus all the punk rock greats: Bad Religion, Ian Mackaye, etc. I wouldn't want to work with Rick Rubin because he can't mix a record.
If the band was a '90s sitcom character, who would it be and why?
I would say the brothers in "Wings." Both frontmen (Ian and Jeff) in the band have been best friends and in bands together since they met when they were 13. Sixteen years later they're still going strong with V.o.A.
