I've been hitting the gym a lot lately, going all out in 45-minute jump rope classes, and today, it hit me like a log- I miss my yoga!

Thankfully, when the craving for yoga comes along, I don't have to do too much to satiate it. I'm within walking distance to four great studios, I have class passes at another two studios, a free week at a place that's about a 10-minute bus ride away and unlimited online classes at my beck and call.

I'm feeling quite happy about my yoga wealth, so I felt it was only appropriate to pay it forward to those who might not be in the same situation.
Here's a list of studios offering donation and free community yoga classes. For more tips on how to find cheap yoga classes, check out my guest post for the RedEye's BrokeAss blog.

Bloom Yoga Studio
Bloom Yoga Studio in Lincoln Square has a free intro to yoga class on Saturday, April 3 from 2-3:30 pm (they usually have a free intro class the first Saturday of every month). Registration is recommended to guarantee a spot.

Bend Yoga & Movement Studio
New(ish) to the scene of great smaller studios is Bend Yoga & Movement Studio in Ukrainian Village. This cute, welcoming studio offers a free class on Sundays from 4-5:15 pm as well as a variety of donation classes throughout the week.

CorePower Yoga
CorePower no longer offers a free community class at the South Loop location, but all first-timers get a free week of yoga at all three locations (and the soon to open Oak Park/River Forest location as well).

Exhale Spa Chicago
Exhale Spa in the Gold Coast is getting in on the good karma vibes by offering a series of donation-only yoga and Core Fusion classes that benefit deserving non-profits and charities. Up next: Core Fusion Body Rock on Friday, April 2 to benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

Indigo Studio
The Indigo Studio in River North, home of Yoga Booty Ballet, offers a special Candlelight YBB class on Friday nights at 6:45 and a community hatha yoga class on Thursdays at 6:40 pm.

All of the lululemon stores partner with local studios and gyms to host free weekly yoga classes. Most classes are held on Saturday and Sunday mornings before the stores open. Check the site of your favorite lululemon store for yoga classes and other special events.

Moksha Yoga
Moksha Lakeview has a free class on Saturdays from 4-5:15 pm and the Moksha Riverwest community class is every Sunday from 3:30-5 pm. In addition, all three locations offer $7 Karma classes throughout the week.

Nature Yoga
Nature Yoga in Wicker Park has a free class every Sunday from 4-5:15 pm as well as six donation-only classes throughout the week.

Turbodog Spirit Center
Chicago's only all Forrest yoga studio, Turbodog Spirit Center, offers sliding scale level 1 classes throughout the week. Although the suggested class fee is $15, no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Tru Harmony Yoga
All first time students get a free week of classes at Tru Harmony Yoga in River North. Tru Harmony, which offers hot (95 degrees) Baptiste Power Vinyasa classes, also has a weekly Sunday community class from 1-2:30 pm (class canceled on Sunday, April 4).

YogaNow Chicago
Both the YogaNow Gold Coast and Edgewater location offers a free community class from 6-7:30 pm on Sundays. Both locations also offer donation classes throughout the wee and the Gold Coast studio has a free Philosophy of Meditation class on Saturdays at 10:45 am.

Yogaview spreads the joys of affordable yoga every day at their donation-only studio in Wicker Park and the Elston studio has a free community class every Saturday from 2-3:15 pm.
