There's so much I love about my Lotuspad yoga mat, I'm not even sure where to start. After months of testing, searching and inquiring among friends to find the perfect yoga mat, I never thought Twitter would lead me to the best eco mat.

But sure enough, I started following Katy, owner of Lotuspad and eventually one of her tweets led me to her site. She's a yogi, a small business owner and a loving mom who sells yoga-inspired jewelry, props and mats for adults and kids. I was attracted to the rich colors and loved that the mats were not only recyclable, made from recycled materials and PVC, latex and lead-free, but that they could also stand up to a hot practice.

Katy sent me the Earth Eco Yoga Mat and I couldn't be happier. It's got a unique pattern, great traction, is easy to commute with and is designed to protect against germs, sweat and bacteria. At 5 mm thick, it's firm and cushy to protect my knees, I love the color and best of all, it retails for only $40! I've had the mat for less than two weeks and it's stood up to Ashtanga classes and classes at CorePower yoga.

Each Lotuspad mat comes with a tag that's printed on recycled paper that helps save elephants (seriously)! I'm so happy that I found Lotuspad and didn't go with a big brand like Jade or Manduka.

If you're in the market for a new mat, strap or prop, check out Lotuspad. Order before 10/23 and your items ship for free!

I really like that she's paired the yoga slings with the different colored mats to give you an idea of what would look nice, and the jewelry..oh man. You know me and jewelry. Now I need one of those necklaces.

I'm stoked! I bought my mat. Got the green one.. Any suggestions for those of us making the change from the traditional (yucky) mat to a more eco friendly version? Any where or way to recycle it?
