Begin your holiday right with a work-out in the morning. It will get your blood flowing and give you the energy you need to last through the very last firework.

We all know that chances are you may not be eating your healthiest on this festive celebration day. So be sure to get your work-out in early so nothing else gets sidetracks you.

Here are some suggestions:
      1) Grab your bike and take a ride by the lake. Or grab your kids and go biking on the trail.

2) Spend the day swimming before the fireworks.

3) Organize a game of beach volleyball.

4) Lace up your shoes and go for a jog/run.

5) Eat a little bit of your favorite items.

6) Make a fruit salad to go with all those BBQ snacks.

7) Throw some turkey burgers on the grill if you're looking for a leaner alternative to
    hamburgers.

Whatever you do just get out there and get moving. Make smart eating choices as well. Even though its a holiday, its still a day. And it is a day that can help you get one step closer to your fitness goals.

Have a fun and fit 4th of July.
