Ask Wale: No pressure, just thinking about Super Bowl

Adewale Ogunleye

I play defensive end for the Chicago Bears.

E-mail me here. I will be answering your questions about the Bears and life in the NFL every week on my blog.

With so much inexperience and youth in the defensive secondary and so much money invested in the defensive line, do you guys feel pressure to make up for what was an undeniably lackluster 2008 performance? - Jeff Hughes, Da' Bears Blog

WALE SAYS: To be honest with you Jeff, I feel pressure to perform at a high level every year. I am not even thinking about the past. What I am thinking about is winning that Super Bowl in Miami. The only way to get there is this team playing together.

Wassup my man? You are one of my favorite players on the Bears. Question, why does the Bears Cover-2 defense looks so much different from other teams. I know there has been some coverage issues but to have a QB complete all his passes and then the backup comes in com plete all his passes except a couple is not acceptable. Michael A. Hall

WALE SAYS:Hey Michael, glad to hear you are a fan. Now, let's get to your question. Not sure who or what you are talking about but I don't like the QB completing passes either. I really think you will like what you see this year. The Defensive Line has been correcting the mistakes we made last year and as a whole unit, we are flying. Stay tuned, which I am sure you will do.

You probably been asked this before but who's your favorite QB to go against? -- Ian Heicken

WALE SAYS:I want to thank you Ian. I love questions that are not negative. Positive breeds positive. My favorite QB to face is probably Peyton Manning. He is the only QB that really scares me. I get super pumped to face him.

How do you see the defense getting back to a couple of years ago when you guys dominated? - Alan Thavisouk

WALE SAYS: Well Alan, I think hard work is the only way to get the results you want and we've been working hard. This is the first year in 10 that I don't remember taking a break. This off season was big for us. We have been seeing the fruits of our labor these past two preseason games.
