Here I am making life miserable on Saturday night for Eli Manning. (Tribune photo by Nuccio DiNuzzo)

E-mail me here. I will be answering your questions about the Bears and life in the NFL every week on my blog.

There is no place like home.

I stated in my last blog that this week against the Giants we want to see improvement over the Buffalo Bills game. We did that.
On defense we did some great things; we were aggressive and our effort as a unit was pretty good. I keep talking about playing at a championship level. We took a step in that direction.

The NY Giants were a big physical team but we were able to match them. I try not to focus too much on what our offense does but boy, they looked good.

The offensive line played extremely well against a defensive line that many are calling the best in the league. Jay looked like a Pro Bowl Quarterback and Matt Forte was right back where he left off.

With all that said, we still have to play better. We didn't force any turnovers and we missed too many tackles on defense.  I am sure if you asked anyone on offense or special teams, they would say the same thing, "we have to play better."

If we continue to improve and cut down our mistakes we will be tough to deal with. Imagine coming to Chicago as an opposing team and dealing with a dominate defense, a balanced offense, league leading special teams, weather (in winter) and crazed fans.

That's the winning formula at home.  The next step is taking that formula and making it work for us on the road.
Sunday night we play the Broncos in Denver. This game is big for a number of reasons:

No. 1: Last time we played on the road we didn't play well.
No. 2: It's the third preseason game. The starters will play into the second half.
No. 3: It's a Nationally televised game.
No. 4. Google Jay Culter and Kyle Orton and you will understand.
It will be great to see how we respond to success and the pressures of a road game.
Another problem with playing on the road is not being able to eat at one of Chicago's great restaurants before and after the game. For the last two months I have been addicted to SUNDA.

The food is amazing (the beef lo mein is heavenly). I have yet to find an item on the menu that I dislike. The service is great and there are some good looking people on the staff.

If you go, ask for my table and break bread with Chitown's finest. (Ok, I don't have my own table but it sounded

Bear Down!!!

Get a life, Broncos fans. He's gone and he's not coming back. Now you get the Neckbeard and gimpy Chris Simms. Enjoy your 4 win season on the horizon.
Here's to hoping Cutler throws for 300 yards, 4 touchdowns, no picks, 'Wale chucks Orton to the ground 5 times and the Bears win by 30 on Sunday.

Hey Snowgirl, you should be booing that 'tard McDaniels for running your franchise QB out of down 5 months before the start of the season. And for what ? A guy like Mike Cassell ? What a genius. Good luck trying to find a QB in the next 10 or 20 years. And thanks for giving us Jay, we've cemented a playoff presence for the next ten or so years. After this year your 1st round draft pick will be a #32. well done.
