Escape from jail: you're doing it wrong

Meet Travis Copeland, failure:

Copeland mugshot.jpg

Copeland tried to escape from the Lake County Courthouse on Wednesday by launching himself through a window on the walkway linking the courthouse and the Lake County Jail.  Hilarity ensued when Copeland learned, through experience, that the windows are made of shatter-proof glass.

Enjoy:

Had Mr. Copeland succeeded in breaking through the window he would have almost immediately tested his ability to defy gravity--the walkway is approximately forty feet above the ground below.

It's good he didn't make it through that window, since that walkway spans Washington St. He would have probably ended up on top of, or under, someone's car.
