The Children's Advocacy Center needs our help

The Children's Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County needs our help.  Like a lot of other not-for-profits, they're dealing with funding problems, while the need for their services increases.  From their website:

Since 1989, The Children's Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County (CAC) has assisted more than 7,000 children and their family members from the north and northwest suburbs faced with the horror of child abuse. The problem of child abuse becomes more confounding and tragic everyday. CAC is the outreached hand to these children.
Over the years the CAC has done dozens of victim-sensitive interviews for my department, and I can tell you that the people who work there do a fantastic job.  Without the CAC we'd be back to the old days, of traumatized kids interviewed multiple times by cops, social workers, DCFS investigators and assistant state's attorneys.

So, here's how we can help (and have fun doing it):

Yes, you can "Take A Chance on Children" by attending the Take a Chance on Children Casino Night this Friday, at Millrose Restaurant in South Barrington.  You can get more information about the event here, and pre-register if you decide to go--who wants to stand in line waiting for tickets when you could be getting your drink on and doubling down?

Make sure to look for me there if you can make it--I'll be the sweaty, manic-looking guy chasing his losses.

Moshucat, sweets huh? Calls to mind Dan White's "Twinkie defense" in the Milk/Moscone murders.

I'm not sure about donations. I'd check out the CAC website and look around.
