This week has been an especially challenging one - both for me personally and amongst the people I know in bloggersphere. (I realize that I don't normally write about this sort of thing, but it's what I am feeling so I am just going to go with it). Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am a really positive person. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that there is almost always a silver lining. Needless to say, I have learned a lot over the past week.

I've learned that sometimes people aren't always what you thought and that sometimes the people you thought understood you the most don't understand you at all. Friendships that you sort of questioned might turn out to be the kind of friendships you can count on the most. And you may even find that you have a whole lot of support (and maybe even friends) that you weren't even aware of.

I love writing about dating and being single. Honestly, I don't think there is anything I would rather write about. However, I will admit that sometimes it can be a daunting task. You have to put your entire life out there - including some of your most intimate moments. And people don't always like what you have to say. One of the reasons I joined Twitter was to find other people who wrote about the same kind of things I did. What I found was a whole community of some pretty amazing people; most of whom I have yet to meet in real life.

I have found people who inspire me and encourage me. Sometimes when I feel that my writing is really crappy I see that one of them has retweeted out my article or posted it on Facebook with a comment about how great it is. I can ask them for opinions or bounce ideas off of them. There are times each one of them challenges me as a writer (and a dater). Even though I have never met most of them I know that each one of them is brilliant and talented. And I believe the good in all of them is purely genuine.

As a person that is fairly new to the blogging scene and to this group of people, I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation. Thank you for allowing me to be a member of all of this. I am truly honored and feel blessed.

And of course I did not forget about the group of friends (and family) that I belong to in real life. Thank you to all of you for your support and for letting me be the person that I am. Most importantly thank you all for being the most amazing people that you are. Without all of you I am certain I would be far crazier than I am.
