Andrea Syrtash is a relationship expert, dating columnist and life coach. She has been seen on VH1, NBC and is also a contributor for Oprah.com. In her new book He's Just Not Your Type (and that's a good thing), she shares her approach to finding a fantastic and healthy relationship. Here she encourages women to look beyond the idea of the man they've always thought they were supposed to marry and instead take a look at the guy they may not consider their type (something she calls a "non-type"). It's that whole idea that sometimes you find love where you least expect it, coincidentally something that I firmly believe in.

I have started reading the book and so far I have to say I am a huge fan. I find the book is real and something almost anyone can relate to. Plus, I feel that she really takes the games out of dating and encourages a more genuine approach - which is something else that I firmly believe in.

It's pretty obvious that I am really excited about this book but I am even more excited because Andrea Syrtash will be making the first stop on her book tour here in Chicago. And it's all happening very soon.

Join me for the Andrea Syrtash He's Just Not Your Type Speaking & Signing on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 7:00pm. at the Borders in Lincoln Park (2817 North Clark St.).

Then, for some added fun, immediately following the speaking and signing there will be a girls night out post party at the trendy Lincoln Park boutique called V-Fish (2937 North Clark). There will be cocktails and shopping. V-Fish will also be giving 10% off of purchases for anyone who brings in a copy of the book.

I've created a Facebook invite so feel free to RSVP there for there event.
