I eat. I write. And there you have it.

My lobster corndog, Lolla 2009

I usually don't get excited about festival food, but the list of Lollapalooza vendors our pals over at The Stew posted this morning is worth a look.

Lolla stepped it up last year with offerings from chef/music-lover Graham Elliot Bowles (Graham Elliot, Grahamwich), including his much buzzed-about lobster corn dog. This year, they put Bowles in charge, and he's rounded up local eats from the likes of Kuma's Corner, Big Star, Hoosier Mama, Franks 'n' Dawgs, Sunda, Seedling and others. (The Stew has the full list.)

As awesome as this list sounds, I'm going to withhold judgement until I hear reports from the front the weekend of the fest. I can see a Big Star taco or some lumpia from Sunda meeting the necessary fest requirements (cheap, portable, fast), but I'm having a hard time imagining how Kuma's is going to pull it off. If they do, however, it'll be legendary.

Oh, and if you're the sort that goes to Lolla for the music too, here's a look at our top picks for 2010.
