I love everything about this place. The soaring ceiling with wood beams draped above set the perfect tone right from the start. Twinkling lights lighting the narrow rectangular-shaped dining room, provides a romantic vibe. The wood-beamed bar in the back with elegant lights hanging above, is indeed the best seat in the house.
With a full bar, Eduardo's Enoteca provides a well-edited wine list, and I encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and explore some of the playful reds and whites.
The heart of the restaurant's appeal, is first the atmosphere, then the wine once you indulge in the first sip and finally the exceptional Italian eats. Like I said, Eduardo's won my heart, in every respect.
The menu gives you free rein to decide how you will begin as you enjoy your first glass of wine. Perhaps a cheese and charcuterie plate will satisfy your palate. Or maybe you'd prefer to nosh on a crostini. I recommend the wild mushroom topped with garlic, caramelized onions, ricotta and white truffle oil.
If you choose to forego the above starters, there are but five anitpasti selections including marinated olives, caprese pesto and braised meatballs.
The salads are not to be overlooked, they are creatively prepared. We were swayed by the salad special of the evening with bibb lettuce, gorgonzola, fresh strawberries drizzled with a homemade vinaigrette.
Once you mosey on to the mains, you can choose either handmade pastas or pizzas; however, I encourage you not to choose and order both. We have doggy bags for a reason.
The pastas begin with a traditional tagliatelle bolognese and then gets more playful offering a spaghetti with zest, black pepper and rosemary as well as a pesto wheat pappardelle with flamed tomatoes and peas. If seafood fancies you, the black ink linguini starring mussels, shrimp, bay scallops in a spicy tomato sauce is the one for you.
The rustic pizzas are presented in an elegant thin crust, offering both white and red sauces. The menu tempts you with several including a margherita, prosciutto arugula, spicy pepperoni with truffle oil, artichoke and a potato gorgonzola. Definitely indulge in several.
Everything about Eduardo's makes my heart flutter. The ambiance is stunning, perfect for multiple occasions. The service is impeccable, delivered with charm, and the menu is well-presented, sure to satisfy your Italian fix and beyond.
Eduardo's serves lunch as well as weekend brunch and has an outdoor patio for warm summer evenings. Be sure to enjoy the bar while you wait for a table, and enjoy the twinkling lights and soaring ceiling beams, it truly is the best seat in the house.
