Walt Disney World opened in Florida on October 1, 1971. Epcot opened on October 1, 1982.
In honor of its 45th birthday, here are 45 things to do at Walt Disney World Resort with teens and tweens that they will love.
There are a lot of attractions that didn't make this list.
Some kids may adore "It's a Small World" and revisiting childhood favorites may be a treat for certain teens and mortifying for others.
Involve your tweens and teens in the planning and learn what makes their mouse ears perk up.
For instance, if your kid adores history, check out the Hall of Presidents. If you have baseball fans, remember the Atlanta Braves call the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort home during Spring Training. Young foodies will enjoy the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival (minus the wine, of course).
If you're looking to be more active as a family, teens can also participate in some of the runDisney events. (Although you can also get plenty of steps just walking around.)
Disney World has been going strong for 45 years in large part because there's something for everyone, and there is a lot of fun to be had there with tweens and teens.
